Sisu - it's always somebody elses fault

Whatever you think of politicians (IMO harsh to regard local politicians, many of whom have a good service to their community record, who get paid nothing, only expenses ... In the same league as MPs) no-one has given any reason why EVERY local councillor has taken this line. So, I will pose...

    Bucket shake for women's team

Raised £700 at game v. Crewe. Seems a poor effort from Sky Blues fans. 10 thousand fans at 7p each? Can we support a Sky Blues team who just play for fun and are proud to represent our city? .... Apparently not... Shame really.

Breaking news: Acl call off rent talks

Can anyone enlighten me on what Coun Mutton has to gain financially from this? His earnings for last year from the council are listed as £37k, which is less than I earn. Doesn't seem to be raking it in exactly.

When will Moussa perform well in a home match? Only seen glimpses of ability from him at home. Answers on a postcard

Breaking news: Acl call off rent talks

You can say what you like but I won't have it said that a lady faints in Pride and Prejudice! Get your facts straight. Jane Austen's women do not faint!

    Dublin v Regis

Regis, by some distance. Dion was good but mainly as a finisher. All round play was much better from Cyrille ... A class act and made others around him look good. I liked Dion but my all time hero centre forward was Colin Stein closely followed by Mick Ferguson!

    Can we get auto?

With the current squad I really think we are short and I will be happy if we avoid the season petering out. At present we are not strong enough and I can't remember the last time we played really well. We need another striker to help Clarke and the midfield needs a shake up. Last night, in all...

    Clarke

He played well tonight but he needs much more support from the rest of the team. I am not convinced he can play 4-5-1 as we currently set up with the midfield too deep and the wingers wasteful and inaccurate with crosses.

    SISU's new problem

Yes, perhaps, but you see that was not his main point at all. As soon as he said it the pack smelt blood and bayed and barked. His main point was then ignored under a tide of ridicule. It is classic in it's simplicity and leads to despair.

    SISU's new problem

CJParker, Well done for keeping going against the curse of irrationality tonight. Classic pack behaviour: surround, confuse with obscure questions, take minor points out of context and ignore the major points, keep obscuring the issues with irrelevant comparisons, refer back to an alleged...

    Juggy

Just to clarify, again. SBKid lost it when 3 posters ganged up on him. I supported his view that the debate was not reasonable and moderation should weed out bullying tactics. I did not support the way he expressed his frustration. As a teacher I see this all the time.

I think that's what you said in your post at 5:38. Happy to withdraw if mistaken?

    Juggy

SBTaylor, no doubt you can find an example of me making personal insults on those 3 posters?

I have agreed with that point torchomatic

    Juggy

SBTaylor, you are correct. I am not up to a bar room brawl style of debate. It ends in blood and no solution. You see debating as warfare. I see it, as Socrates did, as honest men trying to find the truth by reason and thought.

    Juggy

Torch, you are asking me to make personal remarks about another poster, which I don't want to do. Let's just say, I understand SBKid's frustration which makes him resort to insults. I do not agree with that though. He was definitely provoked, by the posters he named, and lost it. It is hard...

    Juggy

SBTaylor, I did not answer the points that you raised because they made no sense and avoid all the main points up for debate. It is not sixth form debate club where the objectives are to try to catch people out, obscure the issue, pick on a minor inconsistency in an opponent's argument in order...

Again wrong. I can see both sides of the debate and try to keep an open mind.

No I was not supporting SBKid in his making of personal insults. Again, you have jumped to a wrong conclusion. I was supporting his assertion that the moderator should be looking at bullying comments made on the forum. Hypocrite means you say one thing and do another. I think you meant...
