EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Interestingly, I read that of the 17 cases not one was experiencing any symptoms at all. It may be that they all caught it very recently and symptoms have not developed yet, but it may also be part of the evidence needed to justify the claim that 4 out of every 5 cases are asymptomatic.

    It's nowhere near that figure.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

There are a number of reasons why the season can't continue, IMO. Not least because I don't think the EFL will want to be in a situation where 12 teams effectively bankrupt the other 11 (or whatever the numbers turn out to be, in the event of a vote for continuation). That's why we haven't had a...

Just how big is our fan base ?

Is the post about the fan base though, or about potential match attendance numbers? I have met fans as far afield as the far east, who live there. 95% of Man. United supporters have never been to a game, apparently.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Interesting report from BBC. EFL: Leagues One and Two play-offs to be before Championship play-offs

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Actually our away form pre-Christmas makes no sense when compared to our form.since then. 7 wins and a draw in the last 8 away games. if we had won 3 or 4 of the away games pre-Christmas, the other league 1 teams would need a telescope to see us.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Don't the EFL have to give 21 days notice of a vote to change the rules? or did I imagine that? If so, that might explain the delay.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I'm not sure how Football Manager works to be honest, but Sky Sports obviously deemed the prediction worthy of a web post.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Isn't it strange though, a few weeks ago Sky supposedly did a similar exercise and had us winning only one of our remaining games and finishing 3rd. Experts!!

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

    I took that to mean that only teams in the automatic places after the formula was applied would get promoted, but it doesn't matter as it's a stupid idea anyway. c)Teams in the automatic promotion spots even where the margin for error is applied, should be automatically promoted;

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

    If I understand the proposal, points would be in the following statistical average Coventry (1.97 ppg) High - (1.97 + 0.12411 = 2.09411) Low - (1.97 - 0.107365 = 1.862635) Rotherham (1.771 ppg) High - (1.771 + 0.111573 = 1.882573) Low - (1.771 - 0.0965195 = 1.6744805) Wycombe (1.735 ppg) High...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The 20/21 season for the premier league start date is at the moment pencilled in for 8th August. That is 10 weeks from this coming Saturday. The EFL usually start a week earlier. So the likely time frame is, the end on next week for the votes to be completed, a week to get testing organised, 4...

    It’s not over yet

Where have the Premier league said there may be no relegation? The BBC news reporter suggested that, but in the interview with Richard Masters that followed, the statement was made that "curtailment was still possible", which is true. Relegation was only mentioned in the statement "scrapping...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Exactly. Managers saying they want to play on, and owners doing a turkey-voting-for-Christmas impression are two very different things.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Barton seems to be suggesting they are OK with playoffs, I can't think why Southend would want to play on, they are 17 points from safety with 9 to play, and have won 4 all season. Obviously null & void would be their first preference but that is not on the table. I believe they have long ago...
