The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There will be some sort of a deal - in the end. Never said there wouldn't be, but the possibilty of a no deal in the short term is there. The EU will undoubtedly take a hit. There, are you happy? I would be more concerned about the UK though, and if it goes pear shaped, those who told everyone...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

With the present UK government mess, you can hardly call 27 countries sticking together incompetent. No, they are not clueless. I posted a link showing 3 alternative solutions being publicly discussed. Maybe they are betting on a deal for financial services. Banks in the UK are holding back on...

Bit like us being relegated to League 2, but taking comfort that Villa are no longer in the Premiership ( that was an example, I know we are in League 1 before anyone jumps on me ). Some cannot accept where we are. The „look at their problems“ is part of their defence mechanisms. As is to...

How does he know what discussions are going on behind closed doors about large amounts of money? He wants to bring this out to get some sort of a reaction. Do you think that we on here know more than the banks involved? I posted 3 possible alternatives. Let’s see what gets announced when deal or...

I wasn’t aware that I keep praising Carney. He helped defray Brexit damage after the vote. You don’t know what is really going on. Neither do I. Maybe Carney doesn’t know either. But, I know that EU financial institutions are aware of the problem ( see link ) and I suspect Carney is pushing...

I don’t know. But they are obviously aware of them and I doubt whether they are ignoring them hoping they go away. We are at least adapting the M26 ready to be a lorry park. Great. That’s democracy get over it. The ex UK ambassador to the EU explains for you why the EU isn’t going to alter...

You take Selmayr as the poof that every rule in the EU can and will be broken. Madness. I posted how they got round the rules by breaking the spirit of the rules, but not actually breaking the rules. That was not the 'EU', that was Juncker and Oettinger. The EU slammed the appointment. The EU...

Some posters will just not see what is happening. They will go on about Selmayr and Juncker and hope that the EU will also suffer. Yes, of course it will, but not like the UK. Latest OBR comment: „The OBR described these calculations as plausible and in line with its own estimates, noting...

Now it is more for remain according to poll trackers. But not by much, so 50:50 is not far off. What lengths has the EU gone to? They have their club rules and we want them to change them. We have our red lines which do not comply with the existing rules of the EU. Whose fault is that?

Yes, you just have to let them move in with you and then everything that goes wrong is ultimately your fault.

We wrote the rules with the other members. Now we want them to change the rules we helped write because half of our country wants them to. The other half of the population thinks Brexit is mad and understands why the 27 other countries are not going to roll over.

Astute heard on comment from Carney about European banks and translated that into no one anywhere has taken any measures.

They are. It is a question of how much. But, at the end of the day we are the ones changing the system and if things go wrong we will be blamed.

They. You are referring to 27 nations. Some claim to be more prepared than others. But, the whole thing is down to us. All costs and problems were caused by us. Now you are on to blame the 27 for the actions of the 1. The one only being actually half for the whole crap. It is really 0,5...

No I don’t. I always say it a scam, sham and annoying. I posted their version in which they claim there were no sweeteners and I asked you to prove them wrong as I cannot find a definitive answer as to what happened in the end. Not defending anyone. Just find the whole thing weird.

We are not ready to leave because there was no plan on the table of what to do when we leave. There still isn’t a workable plan on the table. We should not have a referendum on this basis. It is a joke.

You just never took any interest in it. A far more important appointment for the UK as we are leaving the EU.

Who is defending Selmayr? I posted the argument of the EC, and asked what happened in the end. There a couple of versions out there and I thought you claimed to know what happened. You just said it happened.

Quite. Which is why only have a go at Selmayr‘s appointment ( and still haven’t answered my question properly with a link or reference) and not e.g. at the disgraced Liam Fox‘s reappointment as minister. Seeing as you can see both sides and don’t dodge questions, a bit hypocritical.
