How did that foul on James not result in a yellow? It was the same as the Dacosta one!

I wasn't overly impressed with Norwich when we played them away but their line up looks very strong tonight. A point would be a great outcome.

    Tonights games

Real shame about Derby injury time winner but have to be pleased with Preston, Wednesday, Bristol City, Huddersfield and Luton all losing.

    Liam Kelly

Interesting hearing Jodi Jones podcast. He identified Liam Kelly as being the hardest trainer at the club. He said he is super fit (aerobically obviously rather than injury wise). Also he reckoned he would be most likely to become a manager.

    Podcast Jodi Jones

That was a great interview. Nice to have that insight. What a grounded, grateful and inspiring guy Jodi Jones is. Seeing him back on the field in sky blue is going to be so emotional.

    Don't sweat the small stuff

I teach mindfulness and am regarded by colleagues as super calm. However when Cov are playing, my dog, who normally follows me everywhere walks out the room and my wife and step-daughter hear me shouting and swearing (usually) or screeching with delight (on occasions)!

    Match Thread U23 v Forest

Well looks like my goalless U23 entertainment has been cut short after 40 something minutes! Anyhow based on the first 40 and last 15: Jay McGrath looks like a left-footer centre half Ngandu also left-footed set piece taker Jobello had a couple of decent moments but lost the ball cheaply mostly...

    Match Thread U23 v Forest

Just watched last 15 minutes. They were calling Jobello 'Tobelo'. He was taken off after having a couple of decent opportunities to cut the ball back for a shot but failed to do so. Newton at LWB looked nippy going forward but he looks pretty small. Eccles looked very accomplished. Tavares gave...

    High energy Cov players

Although sometimes Callum O'Hare's end product can be frustrating, I am amazed at how he can maintain his energy levels game after game. His attitude is incredible. It made me wonder what other past players have played with the same energy levels and on such a consistent basis?

    Mason

Yeh this would make sense but I would have thought Robins would have just said that. I would be surprised if Robins didn't rate him enough as a player to have him at least as cover, especially as he had earned himself a new contract. I can only imagine there is something behind the scenes.

    Liam Kelly

I agree James is an all-round more accomplished player, but some players have more about them than physical and technical attributes. Their presence on the pitch - hence why he is captain. He is not a shouter which is probably a good thing with such a young team. He leads by example and sets the...

Sheaf has shown he has a lot of qualities. I could see how he would be able to dictate games in a lower division where he is given more time. What gets him in to trouble on occasions I think is down to decision making in dangerous areas. More experienced or better players know what they will do...

    Match Thread Norwich game night

Based on Shipley coming on at LWB Saturday I expect he will start with Dacosta on the right. Pask on the bench to come on at RWB and Dacosta switching sides depending on how Shipley does.

    Wilson

I do think it would be easier to bring Wilson back in given that Marosi is clearly not recovered from injury. He has had very little time to deal with the psychological impact of having his eye socket fractured.

    Ratings v Cardiff

Unfortunately it is true that some people have an agenda. Biamou was not the worst player on the pitch today and yet his name inevitably will be brought up in a sarcastic way. He wears the shirt with pride and gives it his all. How many players with more quality have we had who we wished had as...

He just has the knack to read the game very well and get into the right positions. Not always appreciated the same as attacking midfielders but so crucial in enabling those attacking midfielders to attack.

    Relegation Battle

I don't agree. There were some below par performances and some incidents where players should have been stronger and braver (Marosi and Rose for second goal) but I still saw effort until the final whistle.
