It's endemic. When I worked for a well known luxury car manufacturer, the vehicles themselves would be updated every twelve months, but the IT systems behind that development were expected to keep pace without being upgraded on a regular basis.

Loved Dark. Didn't outstay it's welcome like some series' (looking at you Lost). Keep an eye out for a show called 1899 (also on Netflix). It's the Dark's crew next outing. No release date yet though. Edit : It's coming on 17th November.
