Match Thread Peterborough (H) Fri 24th Sept 7.45 ko

I don't think we will be complacent. However, having in the back of their mind that a win would put us top could be a psychological factor either way. I hope he goes back to Allen in midfield and Waghorn up top. I don't think it would happen but I would also consider resting O'Hare and either...

    Hyam

I would like to see how Jodi Jones is going to fit in. He has been on the bench so he must be looking good in training. I wouldn't be surprised if he featured against Peterborough, maybe with O'Hare having a rest. I would give a new contract to Allen, Godden, Hyam and Fadz.

Thought Maatsen and Kane had better second halves. You could see that Maatsen had run himself into the ground. Hamer was everywhere today. I felt Robins should have made the changes sooner today. Godden has a way to go yet for match fitness. Jamie Allen earlier would have been my shout. Massive...

Unfortunately with Smith on the pitch I don't think the header winning will change much. We therefore need to be winning the second ball.

Wow that was frantic. Think we were lucky with the disallowed goal. Hamer putting in a real shift and Gyokeres causing them all sorts of problems. It is the first game where we have been second best in the air.

Must be a bit more pressure on O'Hare. Undoubtedly his work creates space for others. At the same time Allen has out-done him with quality the last two games.

Simon Moore loves a sing song

In his interview and on the pitch he comes across as very level headed. Exactly what you want from a keeper. No surprise the whole defence is playing with more assurance.

Why our start is so important

Does it go a little hand in hand with our pressing style. We are going to pick up yellows for late challenges. We do need to cut out needless ones though, like dissent or silly fouls that have little purpose.

    Dom Hyam new contract

I think it is likely Hyam will sign. I imagine Hamer and O'Hare will await where we finish up at the end of the season. However if they choose to wait they are more likely to be let go in January due to the higher value. Unless they sign with a clause of being allowed to leave if a Premier club...

Why our start is so important

Let them all draw. They can have a little change by losing when they play us.

Last night's. It's from the gallery reel. Sheaf I think was due to come as a sub at the very end.

Nice photo of Sheaf and Allen after the game - shows the spirit in the team

    Fitness

I am really enjoying it but do wonder if is sustainable over a season, particularly when the pitches get softer. I guess that's where careful squad rotation comes into play.

    Dabo's suspension

If Kane does well and the team keep winning it will be interesting to see if Dabo will walk back into the team. I think Dabo is one of the best RWBs in the Championship so it is a big ask, but also a big opportunity.

We weren't ALL in agreement that he wasn't good enough for the Championship but agree with much of what you say. I didn't realise he was only 26.
