    The Penalty

People underestimate the impact that some flowing air can have from the movement of a foot.

    Liam Kelly

Hamer is technically very good and has the ability to do something extraordinary. Whilst Kelly isn't in this mold, his consistency throughout the game and his decision making and positional awareness is at another level. Very different players and great to have both at the club.

The fitness levels of this team are incredible. Even Godden and Kelly can last 90 minutes!

Good performance. Think it was a foul on McFadzean but he made it too easy. Kelly and Gyokeres our best players at the mo. Not sure Kelly will be able to last a full game though. Godden will be replaced by Walker after 60 I would think.

Waghorn has COVID. Maybe he isn't the only one, hence Shipley making the bench? Good job the international break is here.

Without Hamer's quick decision passing and Allen's speed on the break, this is going to be a very different game. Hopefully we don't concede early and build some belief before a lone run and goal from Gyokeres. I also think Godden is the ideal player to pick up the pieces from him.

If I was Rose I would be furious if I wasn't selected to start after last night's defensive performance. However, if he does I can only imagine it will be for Clarke-Salter, which will then impact the balance. McFadzean being taken off early suggests he will start and Hyam was by far the best of...

    Reaction to certain results

I agree that the tactics and the not changing tactics were bizarre. We have been doing much less overly passing out from the back since midway through last season, which coincided with fewer silly goals conceded and more points. Yet for some reason the tactics were to do so amidst a highly...

Sheaf was slow reacting but McFadzean pass set him up and was careless. Players who have really stepped up this season fell down the stairs tonight.

We’re not going up are we?

We have had an amazing start to the season and if someone offered me losing 5-0 to Luton and being 4th in the table at this point I would be thrilled. It is not the loss that makes me worry, it is how bad the performance was. Where did it come from? The players looked like they had never played...

I disagree. The manner of that loss was worse than anything last season. If we bounce back and learn a lesson fair enough, but there was so much wrong with that performance there is a lot to bounce back from and having to do so v Fulham.

Still feeling stunned after that debarcle. I noticed that Luton were out warming up 5 minutes before Cov and that continued into the game. Their game plan caught us cold. When Allen actually got the ball he used it well. The only player to do so. Rose has to start on Saturday. I imagine Dabo...

The only players I have seen put in challenges are the smallest two on the pitch - Allen and Maatsen. Luton came out and targeted Clarke-Salter and Maatsen and it worked. No way a penalty for me but even so the performance was shocking. If there was to be a reality check I wish it was more subtle.

Absolutely shambolic. Need Kelly on and Rose. Go 4 at the back and take Clarke-Salter and McFadzean off.

Yes, that's true. Kane will know he will need to be as good or better than last match.

I think it is good call to keep an unchanged team and a show of confidence. The message is keep performing and you stay in.

I could see it ending 0-0. A draw away against a middle of the table team would be decent. Anything more and I would be getting seriously excited.
