    Van Ewick Injury

Lati or Eccles can play RWB. I presume after Robins'comments the other night he won't be playing Sakamoto there again. Lati plays on Monday, bring back Thomas to RCB. or Eccles moves to RWB and Allen comes in to CM. It's crap to lose MVE, but we do have options. Thank god Allen is back, and...

I think he will start Simms, Allen, Ayari and Kitching. Allen for MVE (Eccles moves to RWB) Kitching for Binks Ayari for Palmer Simms for Wright

    Let’s face it.

Palmer was playing well until the International break. Was briliant against Sunderland and Leciester. Will admit he was awful when he came on at Hull, and ineffective at Cardiff, but to be writing him off based on these 2 games (when he only started one of them) is ridicoulous.

Allen DM? Godden AM? Latz RB? No chance. If we did play that formation I'd play Eccles at RB and Latz at DCM, with Allen in for Sakamoto at AM.

    Wilson V Collins

We've conceded 7 goals in 3 games, so there has to be some scrutiny on the keeper + his distribution is pretty poor. Wouldn't put it past Robins to make some big decsions now. Collins for Wilson Thomas / Kitching for Fadz

    The season ahead......

Last night was our worst performace of the season. Our only other defeat at Leicester, we played them off the park for the most part, It's frustrating that Simms and Wright haven't got going yet, and we have now lost Sheaf until November. Feels a little like the season after the League 2 play...

With Sheaf out until November, we have to put Ayari or Palmer into central midfield for some creativity and then if we're sticking with the 2 up front, bring in Allen / O'Hare / Sakamoto to the AM position. Personaly I would go back to the box, and play Eccles and Palmer as CMs and Allen &...

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

The ball started sticking up front once Simms came on, and Allen was making those clever runs. We looked more fluid for sure. As for Sakamoto - I thought he was great at Swansea in the AM role, but they can bring him on as a attacking WB when we are chasing the game. Can't understand Robin's...

Would like to see Robins go for this team against Hudderfield, with the presumption MVE is out. Wilson Eccles Labs Kitching Binks Da Silva Kelly Allen Ayari Sakamoto Simms I think Fadz may need a rest...

    Simms + Wright = ?

Yes, but he wasn't the issue. We were leaking tons of goals, and it took the change to a more direct style to get us to safety (but Godden was injured by then).. 6 in 23, works out about 12/13 goals in the season and for a team fighting relegation that's not bad.

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

He had no other options..McGuire? Palmer was poor the other night, but we were already in trouble by then with the insistence of keeping the 2 strikers on

    Simms + Wright = ?

As I remember Godden was the sole striker in our L1 Title winning season, and scored goals in that role when we came up from the Championship. I would argue he is better in that role too. However, yes Vik was better as the lone frontman. Once O'Hare and Alllen are back in the mix (by early...

I thought we played well, especially 1st half. We invited pressure, and like everyone else couldn't see why Sakamoto didnt come on for Godden in the last 15 to pack up the midfield. Wilson 8 MVE 7 Lati 7 McF 7 Binks 7 JDS 7 Eccles 6 (7 for first 60 mins) Kelly 7 Ayari 6 (7-8 firsy half) Godden...

That’s what a squad is for. Gutting about Sheaf but bringing in your club captain who was brilliant in the last 8 or so games last season isn’t a disaster. Allen should be back by next weekend too, followed by O’Hare.

Supergrass were better than Blur or Oasis. Oasis had some decent early tunes, but basically re-wrote the same song as the years rolled by. Blur are better songwriters and musicians, but it's hard to warm to them.

I think it's safe to say it will be Wright and one other this season, if we're playing a front 2. Was slightly surprised to see Simms & Godden start together a fair amount already this season (Leicester, Sunderland, Middlesborough) Hopefully Tavarres will also offer something different when he...

    players on holiday

I remember the interview Grimmer & Bayliss gave on one of the Cov podcasts. They said Robins was a strict manager. The decision to give players some time off will be the right decision I am sure

Ben Wilson interview - worth a read

Makes you wonder, all these GK's at Premier / Championship teams, who are in their mid 20's but have played very little first team football. There will be some absolute gems there, but they will need to move down divisions, or abroad to actualy play. I remember Wilson's league debut at Norwich...
