With all of those players back, we do have a bloody good squad. Robins must be thinking to go back to the box formation. O'Hare / Palmer / Ayari / Allen competing for the 2 AM positions. Sheaf / Eccles / Kelly / Lats for the DM roles.

Lati in at DM for Ayari, so we can push Allen further forward, Godden for Wright & Van Ewijk for Sakamoto. Although I would prefer Sakamoto & Allen as AMs behind Simms. Sheaf & O'Hare on the bench?

    The ones who got away

Neil Lennon - Atkinson was in for him. He chose Leicester over us. Would of been a great signing

    If Bidwell wants out....?

Dasilva and Van Ewijk have been the best of the new players for me. Such a classy player, brilliant first touch and close control. We might lose something defensively, but he's so much better going forward. Once O'Hare & Palmer are back I think we'll see the best of Dasilva

Feared the worst today, but that intensity to find a equaliser was great. Once O’Hare, Palmer and Sheaf are back we are going to be a seriously good side. Sakamoto is so entertaining to watch.

    If .....

Since we lost O’Hare on Boxing Day, I’m struggling to think of many home games where we’ve played anyone off the park. We do let teams onto us and then counter. When it doesn’t work you get games like Stoke last season and shit patches of play this season (Huddersfield 2nd half) . We play our...

Kelly was probably the pick of our players last night before he got injured. At least we just have one more game to play, and I would hope Sheaf will be back for Bristol. I would move Lats in midfield with Eccles and bring Sakamoto in at RWB but pretty sure it will Allen, Eccles and Ayari in...

    Ellis Simms Going Forward

Liked Simms from the start. You could see he was short of match practice in those early games this season. Now he’s getting into stride. Much quicker than I thought he would be, and he’s got a power shot. Cyrille Regis Mark ll.

5 At The Back Needs To Go

We could play Bidwell and Da Silva as LB & LM, then Van Ewijk and Sakamoto as RB and RM. Problem is if any of those get injured we're screwed. We don't have wingers / wide midfielders and we're already playing Da Slilva out of position.by switching it up. Van Ewijk is out for the next few games...

    Strikers Who Came Good

I'd throw in Wegerle too. Think we were all gutted to lose Gallacher in the swap deal, so a hard start for Roy. He came good though, and on his day one of the best in the league. Didn't seem to click with Atkinson though and was quietly sold.

Agreed. Ayari was anonymous on Monday apart from the goal, and the 2 striker formation is not working. If we had the box with Kelly & Eccles in DM, and Allen and Ayari / Sakamoto in AM, with Simms up front we'd be better. Then in a few weeks we'd have Sheaf, Palmer and O'Hare back

    Dean Austin

So we're giving up on the new signings then? Da Silva and Van Ewijk have been excellent. Bobby Thomas & Hadji Wright were being raved about after the first 3-4 games. They have hit bad form, that's it. Sakamoto has looked good, as has Lats. Simms is starting to pick up. Kitching and Collins...

It did work, because we got on top again for the last 10-15 mins. This lead to the Thomas / Wright chance which 9/10 would iof been scored. Game over. The defending for the goal was awful but that's down to the individual players, Binks and Thomas were out of position for starters.

The meltdowns on here are OTT as always. We have lost 3 big players in the last 10 days or so (Sheaf, Palmer & Van Ewijk). 2 of those could be argued to be our best players. We still have O'Hare to come back in the next month or so (also one of our best players). We weren't great last night...

I thought Wright made us brighter too. Bad miss of course though . This insistence on 2,strikers though is bewildering. It didn’t work last season either.

Not too disheartened. Simms looks like the striker we thought we had bought. Jamie Allen brilliant when he came on )O!Hare to come). Thought we missed Palmer. Ayari quiet. Kelly excellent, Eccles good until 60th minute (as always). Kitching needs to come in now.

Binks bas looked good, so hard to drop him but was hoping to see Kitching tonight. Guess we’ll have to wait and see about extent of Palmer’s injury from Robins’s post match interview. Nice to see Rus on the bench. Quite a strong bench if things are not going well (Bidwell, Allen, Kitching and...

Wright was worse against Cardiff, possibly Fadz too. Against Hall Palmer only came on as a sub. Harsh.

I hope so...Whilst Hadji was more expensive, Simms has proven already he will score goals in this division. I've thought he's been alright in all his performances this season, considering he's been starved of decent service for the most part. The issue we have is that with Matty Godden in the...
