It’s part of the football business model. Every club gets players every season it no longer wants and has to pay off. I’d be amazed if it wasn’t a budgeted item.

The risk with the fringe players is minimal as they haven’t truly contributed this year. Replacing proven players is a different matter !

I thought Tino Anjorin was a real handful when he came on for Huddersfield. On loan from Chelsea. Kaine Kessler played well for MK Dons both fit the profile we tend to look for in loan players

He’s done the right thing for himself and the club. There comes a point where one outgrows the other. we reacted that point last summer, but at least he got to be part of a great squad this season with great team spirit.
