Are they bringing in a new No. 2 now? Or are Boateng and Carr Adi’s replacements?
  2. Offhegoes

George Boateng is back and Rhys Carr appointed as 1st team coaches

Yep. I remember his debut at Anfield. Best player on the park. Strachan played him wide the next season for some bizarre reason

Could it just be that Adi fancied a break for a year? He told the club at the end of the season, and they decided to announce his departure and the new coaches at the same time. Players would have been told weeks ago. Dennis Lawrence left to take an Assistant Manager role, and to be closer to...

    Dennis Lawrence

Kitching looked like the CB we’ve needed for years up until his loss of form at the end of the season. Strong, nasty and can pick a pass. He didn’t have pre season with us last season, and had an injury when he joined. He’ll be a big player this season. Our fans….Once Haji and Simms delivered...

    Callum O'Hare

Best of luck COH, but I think everyone could see from his body language from late Jan onwards that he was off. Something definately changed there. I'm sure Robins & the club knew he was off months ago, and have already signed his replacement in Rudoni

Actually from the Leicester game on last season in January, our performances (in the Championship) were not as convincing for me. We were brilliant in that run from Oct-Jan. I'm not including the Wolves & Man U games in this. Funnily enough it also coincided in COH's slump

I remember that midfield of Michael Doyle & Stephen Hughes circa 2004-2008..Truly Horrible Doyle worked hard and was tigerish, but technically not great, horrendous first touch. Hughes strolled around playing sideways passes and taking shite set pieces. Fair play to Micky Doyle though...

Charlton supporting friend of mine tells me Matty Godden is having a fitness test right now at CAFC.

Still would like to see him given a go at CF. He's not a winger, despite contributing well in that position at the end of the season.

    Callum O'Hare

Presume he wanted to go to Burnley in the summer of 2022 only to suffer a freak injury in training. This lead to Don Hyam’s ridiculous transfer to Blackburn. He then did his ACL on Boxing Day. These contract decisions never go our way.. Gary Mac, Marlon King, John Fleck, Reda Johnson, Gus Hamer...

    Pre season training

Brave, reliable, strong tackler with a flash of skill. Good passer. Such a good player.

    Callum O'Hare

Why update the bio if the player is leaving after the weekend when his contract expires.

That would give us Torp, Allen, Palmer, Rudoni & O'Hare for those AM / No 10 roles. There might only be one position in the team, if we're playing 4-2-1-3 (although Palmer & Rudoni can play wide, and Torp & Allen can play CM). If it was to happen I think Allen would be moved on, or possibly Palmer.

    Transfer Rumour Joe Worrall

If we sign a RB and a CB I would agree. However, Kitching is already out for the opening game, which leaves us with Thomas & Binks starting, Lati on the bench. Any of those 3 pick up an injury then we've got no CB cover on the bench.

    Summer transfer window 2024

I am sure Robins & The Scouting Team are very aware of player's using clubs to attract more interest. Would of happened before numerous times. They will have a few targets lined up for the CM signing I am sure.

    Jack Rudoni

Rudoni played wide when we played them recently. He's definitely not a CM. This will be the AM position I presume, and he can play wide if need be

    Summer transfer window 2024

Need Bidwell & Palmer next season for me, so I hope they both sign 1-2 year extensions. Palmer's career has been revitalized, and clearly loves it here. Bidwell has been consistently very good for the last 2 seasons, and we have Dasilva who can provide more attacking threat if we're chasing a...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Was hoping we’d get Binks on a permanent. Sure Robins will want to switch formations this season and he gives us that 2nd left sided CB.

    Summer transfer window 2024

McNally's disappointing season at Stoke shows how much Robins & Adi get from their players, with smart tactics and first class training. I would expect him to stay at Burnley though. Certainly wouldn't put him above Thomas and Kitching in the pecking order. Despite the latter's loss of form at...
