    Liam Kelly

Such a clever. astute player. Key to the L2 & L1 promotion seasons. Was also important in that 1st season in The Championship, and also last season’s run to the playoffs. Injury prone for most of his career, otherwise he would of been a top-end Championship midfielder

    Contracts 2025/26

What a strange signing Waghorn was. Much older than the normal targets, and although a free transfer, he was on big wages. He was hugely disappointing. Could of been a great foil as a No 10 behind Vik (on paper)

    Ex Player Watch

I remember when we beat Fulham away 3-1 in 2022. They were already Champions. Dabo was brilliant that day.

    Transfer Rumour Godden

Good club Charlton, and they've got Nathan Jones as manager now. I think they'll be a Promotion candidate next season. Jones likes a physical side with plenty of balls into the box so I can imagine that would suit Godden.

    Concerned now

King has made such a difference in less than 18 months. The CBS, Club Shop and training ground for starters. An owner with a wad of cash doesn't guarantee anything ( Everton). If someone wants to pay us 12M+ for Sheaf in the summer and Robins is given 7-8M of that fee, then so be it. That buys...

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

All the new signings have been good in my opinion. Sakamoto's injury was the body blow. Especially as we changed formation and didn't have adequate cover. Add to that failure to get Mason-Clark over the line in January.

    The sack list

I think Godden's lack of game time since December is telling. Robins loves Matty Godden, but he's not sentimental. The lack of Jamie Allen (particularly last night) also suggests to me he's going.

    Sheaf

Peak of his value, because he has 2 years left. Build the team around him next season and get promoted will get us more money then selling him for 10m this summer. If we don't go up, sell him in a year. I don't believe he wants to leave
  9. Offhegoes

    Sheaf

Exactly. Same as any player. If Bournemouth offered us £15m for Wright in the summer he would be off. The club is being run correctly now, players are on long contracts and it will take seriously big offers for us to sell them

    Da Silva

Dasilva is a good squad player. He's not great at LB, but is more than adequate at LWB or LM if needed. Was brilliant against Man U when he came on. He will be a useful player for us.

    Concerned now

If Sheaf has said he wants to go, with 2 years left on his deal, then we're in a far stronger position that we were with Vik or Hamer. Doug King will drive a high price. If indeed that is the case. I don't think he has asked to leave. We get 10m+ for Sheaf + the Vik money, and Robins will...

    Sheaf

Where is all this talk of Sheaf going come from? Is it because it's now apparent O'Hare is off? He has 2 years left on his deal. Robins will be building next season's team around him, Wright, Sakamoto, Simms, Torp & MVE. Clearly wasn't fit last night, and apart from Jamie Allen whose not...

Makeshift yes, but Bidwell has played CB before, and Eccles can work at RB. Kelly should be sharper too (he will be key tonight).

    Robins to United?

He's not a name (Robins). Being an ex-player, but not a club legend won't buy him much slack from the fans. He would be immediately under intense media scrutiny (like Graham Potter was at Chelsea). From what I've heard he's quite a strict boss, and he could fall out with big players early on...

    Match Thread Ipswich Match Thread

Sneaky feeling we might win this tonight. Pressure on Ipswich, and we'll always carry a threat with Wright, Simms, Palmer & O'Hare. Won't be pretty but I'll go for a 1-0. We'll then lose to QPR by a couple of goals at the weekend in true Cov fashion.
  16. Offhegoes

    Callum O'Hare

Think some on here should re-watch the Wolves game. Palmer was brilliant that day feeding Wright & Simms. Shame O'Hare is leaving but we've been here before. Once he didn't sign the contract when he got back into the side, it was clear he was gone. There's definitely been a visible shift in...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

He's always involved...Even games in Sept / Oct when fans were doubting him, he created chances, missed chances etc. Same with Simms actually. Prefer that to Godden who would be totally anonymous
  18. Offhegoes

    Matty Godden

Loved Godden. Remember when we signed him in 2019, knew he would do the business. Some of his finishes were sublime, and he had clever movement. He looked lost from Xmas last year, and it was sad to watch him in some kind of No.10 / Target man role to complement Vik. Still think he could...
  19. Offhegoes

    Matty Godden

Last season he made about 4-5 bad, bad errors that led to goals in about 6-7 consective games. Of course all keepers will make an error sometimes, but that was a shocking run of form from a GK who had a decent 1st season with us. Collins had a mare against Hull but then is probably MOM against...

    The no loans strategy

Our plans were scuppered a bit with moving to a flat back 4, which meant Fadz wasn't going to play, and we had no real cover for MVE at right back. So we saw Lati there, when he was brought in as a CB, and Binks didn't get much game time as Kitching had the LCB role. Ayari was such a...
