Have you not heard of triangles - you go back to go forward. His role is to break up play, close down space and play it off so that we can build again. As a team we too often force passes and lose possession.

In a two Tavares is a threat. He has pace and is a finisher. He lacks strength on the ball but he is a great option from the bench if played in the right position. Works well with Godden too.

Liam Kelly is such a top pro. 5-0 up, 90 minutes gone and he's still on his toes, showing for the ball and organising others.

Palmer's work rate and fitness has been questioned by some in the past. However since he has returned from injury he has been the standout player in this regard.

Rotherham are truly dreadful. However, Simms has shown he can be clinical and place the ball. Palmer and Eccles have been brilliant. Eccles has such variation compared with Van Ewijk. Kitching and Bidwell combination is so strong. Latibeudiere winning all the headers and orchestrating. Kelly is...

Like that line up. Would prefer it if not a back 3 though. However, he can always change it if needed.

I have been impressed whenever I have seen Rathbone play. Type of box to box player that would be useful in our squad. If he is declared fit after his concussion, they will be a stronger team for it. Even so, we should be more than good enough to win comfortably.

Who is good enough next season?

You think Wright is 'a polished complete footballer'? Are you being sarcastic there?

I know this probably sounds bizarre (and maybe it is), but the first name on the team sheet for me, given the lack of fight shown in the last two league matches is Liam Kelly. Second would be Palmer. I would bring Bidwell and Collins back in for Dasilva and Wilson. If we play a back 3, I would...

Who is good enough next season?

Binks is still only 22 which is nothing for a centre back. Needless fouls is easy enough to cut out; physicality will come with age. What I like about him, which is where he is better than Kitching, is his comfort on the ball. Kitching sometimes can have a clumsy touch, which on occasions has...

Who is good enough next season?

The odd thing for me is that Wright and Simms both look like they have some physical potential. Both tall and quick. However both look like they are new to the game and haven't received much coaching in their lives. Compared to Godden who doesn't have the physical attributes but clearly knows...

Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 1st Mar

Would have been great if we had got some extra players in during January but there is no excuse for the lack of heart and endeavour. Better in the second. Torp and Eccles got closer. For me there was only one player who looked like they were desperate for a win and that was Palmer. I don't...

Palmer is our only player playing with any intensity and creativity. If Fadz was in the team we wouldn't have conceded the second goal. Thomas not anticipating and not putting in a challenge. O'Hare continues to think he is bigger than the team, moaning. Ben Wilson static for both goals. Surely...

Hopefully Dasilva has learnt from Preston match to move the ball quicker. Something Bidwell is notably better at. He will need to start well for confidence. They will surely target that area.

    Robins Squad comments

I agree with you in general. I think there are opportunities missed when he could blood some younger players. At the same time, due to the poor performance on Friday, he may have seen it as an opportunity to regain some confidence. With Dasilva especially, coming on and hearing his song must...

He did exactly what would be expected for his role and he did it relentlessly. Takes discipline and know-how to play the way he does. Link the team, dictate the pace and let the creative players be creative. He was exceptional considering the little football he has played imo.
