    Fuck off Neville

Goodman is excellent. Very fair. Knows the game. I remember Mark Lawrenson on co-comms on the BBC (for all the big games). His continuous sarcastic one liners, and languid style were a tough match

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

We normally bounce back well from a defeat. I wouldn't be changing back to 3-5-2, especially at home. Maybe look at it for the Sheff U or Burnley games. I think Allen deserves a start (for Eccles) and Dasilva in for Bidwell, EMC for Wright.

    Ellis simms

We didn't play to Simms strengths yesterday. Wright was even more anonymous when he took over. I would of brought on BTA as the CF. Despite him being at fault for Stoke's first goal, he looked bright. He's no winger though.

Match Thread Coventry City - Stoke City Match Thread - Saturday 8th Mar

It's far too soon to be welcoming back Mark Robins to the CBS as an opposition manager. I actually thought he'd take the season off and evaluate offers come the summer. It's annoying as we're now in a Play Off Hunt, and what should on paper be a winnable game becomes more complex. MR will be...

    Rudoni injury

Still a useful player to throw on last 10-15 mins if you need a goal. He won't be here come June

    Rudoni injury

He scored a beauty last season at Sheff Weds

    We are right in it

We were far superior to Sheffield U at the CBS,, without a manager. Played crap at Burnley (also without a manager) but only narrowly lost. if we want to go up, we’re going to have to beat one of these in the final.

Same Team as Preston and hopefully Wright & Torp back on the bench. Although I would be tempted to look at Jamie Allen in CM, and possibly BTA out wide (Oxford may target Sakamoto).

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

How many games did we win under Robins, whilst playing at best average? Some of the results in that Play Off run in '23 perhaps, but not many over the years. As soon as our levels were down, and we faced a defensive, physical side (especially at home) we inevitably lost.

    Players coming through

Obikwu’s goal on Saturday was sublime. You don’t see goals like that in League 2 very much

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

I think the mentality (between fans anyway) at the moment, is this hoodoo is ridiculous. We're on a great run, playing at home and key players are starting to find form. Preston are a solid Championship side and will be physical and time waste etc, but we're a different beast under Lampard. Coud...

    Clive Eakin

Gurney gets offended way too easily, and goes on the defensive if anyone (Oggy, Clive or a caller) doesn't agree. Clearly some tension between him and Clive All for having a true City fan running the show but I prefer Clive, despite his flaws.

Is Lampard actually Gareth Southgate in disguise?

Lampard has been a manager for a total of what.....5 seasons? 1) Derby to play off final 2) Chelsea qualifying for Champions League whilst under transfer embargo 3) Kept Everton up He shouldn't of gone to Everton, and back to Chelsea for the 2nd stint, and probably should of never of...

    Clive Eakin

Don't think Frank likes Clive very much, especially after a defeat. Watch his face when Clive is asking his questions....

    The dom hyam sale

Hyam could pass. I remember a ball he played down the line (for Vik I think) at Posh away which led to a goal. Brilliant, perfectly weighted pass. He was slow, but stick him in the heart of our 3 man defence with Thomas & Kitching alongside him and he'd be great

    Injury Updates

Is there a player he hasn't got a tune out of? If he gets Haji firing then I don't think any team will want to play us

    Loan Watch

Saw him in pre-season at Stevenage, and thought he looked good. Real unit too, 6'3 at least, and pacey. I watched the opening minutes of Grimsby game on Saturday, and he did a great bit of skill hooking an aerial ball down, and running at defenders. He went on to score later that half.

    Jack Rudoni

Great player. Love how he can beat a player and surge for the box. Superb set piece taker too. Needs to add more goals, and he does seem to disappear during spells of a match., which I am sure they are working on. Lampard is obviously a big fan. He will be a big asset for us moving forward.

    How good is Sakamoto?

Thought he was one of our better players on Tuesday, some of his trickery in tight situations was a delight. He whipped in 2 fantastic crosses as well. He's had a tough season, what with getting back to full fitness and then getting that stud in his knee, and then the change of formation which...
