Another thing to consider from Middlesboro's point of view is if we are in a position to finish 6th by winning there, and we went on to beat their strongest team, it would give us the double over them, a psychological advantage, and the confidence that we could beat them in the playoffs, whereas...

Those are the points I came up with for us and Norwich, but I'm now thinking West Brom are the team to watch. I had them on 67 points with 2 wins, but one of them wasn't yesterday's game. 3 more wins and a draw from 5 games will put them on 70 with a decent GD. I'm fairly sure 69 won't be enough.

But what does make sense is resting your best players if your position is locked in, to avoid any possible injuries

Also, Swansea have had a good run, taking 13 points from the last available 15. They can only make 68 so won't threaten the playoff places, but they will want to finish strongly. They play Norwich, Preston, and West Brom so could affect results

A Preston win would be better for us than Millwall winning, Preston have a minus GD, and a tough run in

Since we have been back in the Championship our record against Luton hasn't been very good, lost 3 and drawn 3 but I wouldn't call them a bogey team. Prior to the last 3 years we have a reasonable record against them. They are a good team but we have beaten better teams before in this league.

Coming from 2 down against an on-paper strong team just relegated from the premier league should give the team some confidence.

Preston have been there abouts, but it seems they have come from nowhere, but if you look at their recent fixtures there is possibly an explanation. Wins against Reading, QPR, Blackpool, Rotherham, and Cardiff, and sandwiched between, a thumping at Middlesboro. It will be interesting to see how...

I think Watford have too much to do now and they seem fragile if they go a goal down. I think if any team can gatecrash the current top 6, it's now between 7th to 11th place, and I only include West Brom because they have played a game less.
