    Does Robins lack ambition ?

This approach is the very definition of caution. Glass half empty. There was a reason that Fergie Time existed when United were in their pomp. They would relentlessly go for the win. A draw wasn’t enough if you wanted to win the league.

    Does Robins lack ambition ?

We have drawn 6 matches this season giving us 6 points. We would have been better to have been less cautious, won2, drew 1 and lost 3…. Giving us 7 points. yesterday with Norwich barely getting out of their own half we played 3 centre half’s , even bringing on Binks to freshen up that back 3...

The notion that Godden is great at holding up the ball is complete fabrication. can we stop pretending he does things he doesn’t to justify a point of view on including Godden. Godden does 2 things well: finish, movement in and around the box. Oh but he works hard I keep reading … yes he...

    Midfield crisis

I understand the sentiment Martin but I don’t think Tats can play in the less attacking central midfield roles. Eccles looks leggy, Ayari is still very raw. I’m not suggesting we sign free players now but I understand why Tea and B proposed it.

I wouldn’t drop Godden yet either but nor would I play him every minute of every match. Godden does work hard but then so does my Amazon driver so that’s not really the criteria. It’s about whether strikers impact matches, score goals, create goals, stretch teams out of shape, etc. My...

A desperate interpretation. all those Godden fans saying a strikers contribution doesn’t matter it’s only about scoring now in a tricky position. Simms and Wright scoring and Godden isn’t. Now it’s all about the strikers contribution to justify keeping him in 😂.

That’s an interesting comparison . The game has moved on so much from then. Micky couldn’t run but neither could the defenders he played against !.

Well we were not killed in the stampede of championship clubs looking to prize him away when we spent £10m on 2 strikers. Lg1 Derby was the only rumour. Godden is a very good championship finisher and a lg 1 all round striker. When he’s fit and firing his goals make up for the other...

Video Coventry City players go BOWLING and take on PUNCH CHALLENGE! 🎳🥊💥

I’ve not heard the whispers but they all look good lads to me, low ego, sense of fun. You can’t replicate last seasons team spirit instantly but winning and the odd night out builds it quickly.

It was almost certain that Godden is not going to improve at the age of 32. Statistically it’s highly unlikely. Simms is highly likely to improve at 22. if you are in denial over that I suspect your other opinions are equally flawed.

Ellis will only improve from this point in his career, Godden will only deteriorate.

It’s not bullshit to recognise the limitations of a player and the impact that has on the effectiveness of the team. We aldo spent £10m+ to play Simms and Wright together. They need minutes when the opportunity presents itself. 3-0 up on Saturday with a previously desperately short of...

    Strikers Who Came Good

Callum Wilson …. Deal agreed for him to leave to non league for a nominal fee before he got injured and the move fell through. not a signing I know but further evidence that some times strikers need time to establish themselves before they hit their true potential with a club.

5 At The Back Needs To Go

We don’t look fit. After 60 mins in most matches we look leggy and get deeper and deeper. Robins denied this after the match but it’s clear for all to see.

5 At The Back Needs To Go

Leicester are top and they play 5 at the back but the full backs are inverted when they attack. As per Man City. Both Man City and Leicester get their width from genuine wide midfielders hugging the Touchline rather than full backs pushing on. We could try this system if we had two genuine...

This will piss on a few people’s chips

This has been well documented already. I think the bigger concern is that we look someway off a decent team right now rather than the absolute points we have collected to date.

    Jack burroughs

I’d prefer he nail down the RWB at Lincoln than play multiple positions. He needs to come back having honed his craft in his best position as he won’t ever be our first choice LB or centre half
