    Wake me up

I'm hoping I will wake up and find out that the 2011/2012 season has been a particularly nasty nightmare, like that season of Dallas when JR got shot. Anyone else feel like this?

How Much More Can You Take ?

Realistically if SISU are still here next season and there has been the predicted relegation and firesale of players, how many fans do we think will attend the first home match of next season in League 1. 8,000 perhaps? :(

    Eric Black?

It has become a parlour game among supporters that when things are tough (as they invariably have been over the past six or seven years) , there is a competition to see who can be the first one to mention Black's name in connection with the managerial position. This ship has well and truly...

How Much More Can You Take ?

Have been a season ticket holder since 1988 and this is my first season since then without one. I live about 90 miles away from Coventry and have attended a couple of home games this season. I will probably attend a handful more before the end of the season but the spark and optimism has gone as...

    Gary Speed dead

They were a truly marvellous side for a couple of seasons - 1990-1992. They've just interviewed Howard Wilkinson on Sky Sports and understandably he sounds devastated.

    Gary Speed dead

I really hope they don't. This appears to be a private tragedy and it should be left private. Surely if the hacking scandal proves anything it's that the press should leave well alone where there is no public interest in them getting involved.

    Gary Speed dead

Simply terrible and tragic news. I remember him breaking into the Leeds team in the early 90s which went on to win the last Division 1 title. Speed, Strachan, McAllister and Cantona - what a midfield that was. RIP Gary and deepest sympathy to all his family and friends.

    Surely time for change?

Agreed, the point is does anyone seriously think under Thorn we can turn this around? Probably if we recruited Alex Ferguson or Jose Mourinho this team would still go down but at least if we get someone else in they may be a very slight chance. No change, no chance I'd say.

One crumb of comfort maybe ....

Doesn't really matter if we continue to lose.

    Surely time for change?

If not now, when? The way things are going we'll be practically down by Christmas. We have to demote Thorn back to scout and roll the dice. Look at the impact of a new manager has had on Bristol City. We must act now before it is too late. And lets get an experienced manager in and not Carsley...

Made me laugh... Ken Dulieu From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Ken 'Mr Orange' Dulieu was chairman of Southampton Leisure Holdings plc and of Southampton Football Club following the departure of Leon Crouch. He stood down on 17 December 2007 after the...

    Cody Mac

He's not great but compared to ROD he looks like Alan Shearer.

Are SISU deliberately doing this out of spite?

As alluded to on another thread, it seems to me (and I'm sure many others) that SISU are almost enjoying the systematic dismantling and destruction of a once-proud football club. I am prepared to accept the fact that they have no money to invest in players or anything else however nothing can...

What is the chance of The Juke and Codey making a partnership?

He's not that bad. ROD is a parks player and is a liability all over the field as his 'assist' for Burnley's winning goal demonstrated.

Do we expect Deegan to be offered a new contract

He is a very poor player. The self-styled pitbull but his challenges are more like a poodle. No way should he be offered a new deal.

    Team For Next Season

I'd say that team will probably come just below halfway in League 1. The lack of strength in midfield and the scarcity of goals will continue to be our undoing.

    Team For Next Season

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Christie, Thomas and Gael leave if we are relegated. If we go down, SISU will hold a firesale of our remaining assets and I think a few Championship clubs might be interested in those three as squad players. No-one will be interested in the likes of Bell...

    A worry if true

Our beloved board just want their money back, what happens on the pitch is an irrelevance to them.

    I'd say the market value of the following would be: Juke - 1million Cranie - 1.5million Clingan - 800,000 Wood - 600,000 Keogh - 500,000 Thomas - 500,000 Bigirimana - 500,000 McPake - 300,000 Baker - 100,000 Bell - 50,000 McSheffrey- 50,000 Eastwood - 100,000 Deegan - 50,000 Cameron - 100,000...

    Reid; Adams; Dowie; Coleman; Boothroyd

To be fair Dowie did exceptionally well at Palace getting them promoted. Reid was successful for most his time at Man City and Sunderland. Yes, Boothroyd had a good team at Watford but he still got them promoted. Coleman was a qualified success at Fulham. We appear to have a reverse Midas touch...
