    Wasps Chief Exec

It has already happened in the NFL ,Oakland moved 400 miles down the coast to LA many years ago, and then moved back to Oakland. The LA Rams upsticks many years ago to St Louis. I believe in Wales there were mergers and in effect closures of certain clubs a few years ago. Aren't Ospreys a...

    Wasps Chief Exec

The trouble is franchise has as a word become about as popular as Ebola. While I personally would always consider CRFC as the true rugby team representing our City, and have no real interest in watching Wasps, I think some of the anger has been overplayed. Firstly there are probably hundreds if...

    Wasps attendances..

Will be interesting what the local media's stance on this will be ,certainly long term. I would imagine the first few games will have local media interest if only for the novelty value. But medium to long term will the CT, CWR and other local media organs give it similar coverage as they do the...

Todays council meeting will be held in public

One thing to bear in mind in all this. If the deal does indeed go through, not one person in the Coventry and Warwickshire is going to be forced to watch Wasps at the Ricoh. Personally if I want to watch rugby in this City I will go to the Butts and watch the team who bears the City's name. There...

    sisu on the ropes

Without meaning to sound rude to you,but in all these hours of talks with Joy/Tim/Mark et al what of any real significance have you and others managed to find out? Many years ago I remember being told that Disney on planning DisneyWorld in Orlando, originally set up company(s) to buy up land in...

Council could vote on Ricoh takeover as early as Tuesday

If and to me it remains a big if,Wasps bought out ACL and moved Wasps to Coventry, what kind of crowds could they reasonably expect to get? I would expect the move to the vast majority of their fans would remain as unpalatable as our move to Northampton was to the vast majority of our fans.. It...

    Wycombe away

Agree with pretty much all that. The goal we scored was a wonderfully crafted and taken, however totally unkeeping with our performance. Hopefully the result doesn't mask the worrying fact that we were outplayed by a mid ranking Division 2 side. I thought Jordan Clarke had a pretty decent...

    Wycombe away

Leaving in a one hour, looking forward to it. Win tonight and Wembley isn't that far away, and if any fans deserve some 'glory' (after this year particularly),surely it is us.

    season tickets

My friend was told that people who have bought tickets in the South Stand as it stands at the moment will be moved. That is why you can't now buy South Stand tickets on line. I believe they were on sale on Tuesday but were stopped yesterday.

    season tickets

Apparently they are not allowed to sell any season tickets in the South Stand, because I believe due to police objections. A friend queued for 5/6 hours and when he was finally served was informed that there was to be no tickets now sold in the South Stand. So it seems there will be no home fans...

Yep fair comment, you are probably right, although it was meant more in a figurative sense than the literal sense.

    Vile Villa Fan tweet.

Probably most CCFC fans will be unaware that the Coventry Bees have rearranged next Friday's meeting to 24 hours earlier,so as not to clash with our homecoming, and to allows fans who support both clubs to now be able to attend both. Even Bees fans who don't follow football, were generally...

    Seating changes for Ricoh Return

Agree surely the logical thing would have been to close the South Stand, as no Coventry fans go in there now anyway. Move the away fans across the South stand right next to Singers corner to create a better atmosphere. Now if we draw a team with a large following say 4-5,000 where are they...

    Poor turn out for MK

Really looking forward to this now, hopefully should be a great atmosphere, and everybody can finally go back to just being Coventry fans again. With arguments/debates just confined to whether the 5/3/2 is better than the 4/4/2, or whether Thorn was actually a tactical genius.:) And then the...

    Cliff Richard!

Or as he is perhaps better known as Kitty. This has been all over the internet for years. Google Elm Guest Home, and take your pick of the famous people implicated in allegations going back to the 1970's and 1980's.
