That’s my point. IF they could stay for a few years they would grow but the chances are based on their current squad quality, commercial revenues etc etc and FFP rules they would be more likely to get relegated than stay in the Premier league.

It will make zero difference. You don’t spend millions on a multi year contract to compensate for a player being suspended for a couple of matches. If he buys an expensive left sided centre half it’s to replace Kitchin, not to provide early season cover.
