Don’t judge us till we’ve played 10 games

I think Norwich was just one of those games when nothing goes your way. We had an xG of over 4 for that game. The Oxford game was the really disappointing result, ahead twice and giving away 2 soft goals (and being naive to some cheating)

Yet another player who proved the same few on here wrong

    Next block of 5

I've said it before, I think we will lose one of those, and I don't think it will be on Tuesday. Would be V happy with 3 wins and a draw. 10 points

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 18th Oct

I think we have to get used to the idea that we are every team's cup final now, at least until we lose a game or two. And teams can play against us with freedom because they are not going to face major criticism if they lose.

    1966/67. First 10 games.

Yes, but we did have a run of 25 games without defeat up to the end of the season IIRC

    Championship thread 25/26!

If we can keep this up and have a bit of luck with injuries we are way beyond being "figured out"

    Championship thread 25/26!

I think Ipswich will end up in top 2 so in a way an Ipswich win wouldn't be too bad. If we win tomorrow we would be 4 points ahead of Middlesboro with a goal difference effectively worth a point. Other teams in the top 6 have the possibility to drop points tomorrow as well.

    Our strikers……

A poster on here compared Morgan Whittaker to Haji recently saying they were similarly valued. I guess that assessment was based on one good season for Whittaker. Look where he is on the graph above, not sure how many minutes he has played this season but he is not massively underperforming his...

    Our strikers……

It's unlikely a player can consistently continue to exceed his xG, as stated the sample is too small to be meaningful at the moment.

The problem is we have no idea what was going on with Haji at that time. It seems like FL shouldn't have played him due to him being unfit to play?? we just don't know, but if that was the case it wasn't Haji's fault. What we do know is, a few weeks earlier he looked the complete footballer...

Yes, I was fairly sure we had an exceptional player at this level when I saw him do that. Any issues or problems that may or may not have been present since then have not altered my view on his quality at all.

The initial fee wasn't £25M though. so it appears we are disagreeing over around £2M

Near what? This was a reply to my original post (1034) where I said "if he has a good world cup we could probably get somewhere near what we got for Vik if we decided to sell"

Transfer values have gone up since we sold Vik, Haji is only 6 weeks older than Vik and age didn't stop Arsenal paying £60M for him. I appreciate next summer is another year away but clubs will pay a premium for goals.

You missed some great posts from this poster. Imagine if we had sold him for £1M and he was now playing like this for another team, perhaps a competitor in this league. Seriously though, people can get frustrated when your star signing isn't playing well, but that often happens. If he has a good...

    Early Stats

Yes he played for Sunderland as well as West Brom & Wolves. To be fair he was a good player. I don't care much how he pronounces covuntree, as long as he keeps talking about us in a complementary way.

It's a bit worrying that he thinks Blackburn, Portsmouth, Watford, Wrexham, and Sheffield. Utd is 6 games

As I stated on post 27 here https://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/same-stage-last-season.172459/#post-3496033 Leicester would be on 18. They are on 16 now, they would have got 2 extra points if they beat us.

    Same Stage Last Season

Not only that but if we had lost to Leicester and QPR they would both be on 18 points now. Millwall would be one behind on 17 if they had beaten us.

Next batch of 6 before the final break

I think we will lose one of them but only one. I can't see the goals drying up although no matter how well we play there will be games when things don't go our way. I think 4 wins and a draw.
