    Robin’s Take On The Game

What he actually said was "I can't remember really, them laying a glove on the goalkeeper apart from when they split the underside of his chin wide open with a boot, umm with the bottom of a boot"

The run of 7 to christmas

I wouldn't be surprised if we won 4 of those though.

    Haji shite

Some people are conveniently forgetting the last goal against Sheff U. It went down as an assist but really Haji might as well have said to BTA "here have my goal"

    Robin’s Take On The Game

I don't think many people dispute that, but his comment, particularly insinuating we tried to injure their keeper was well out of order, and if you think that was OK I'd be surprised.

    2 point average per game

That's worst case scenario and assuming they beat us twice, and a resurgent Blackburn away who, although losing their last game have recently beaten Bristol, Leicester, and Southampton

The run of 7 to christmas

I don't think many of us expected to win yesterday, so you never know, but around 12 points from those games would be good.

    Robin’s Take On The Game

The reference about their keeper, I assume he means when he spilled the ball and BTA went for it quite legitimately, that was a very poor comment and I expected better from MR. Hurting or not he shouldn't have said that.

    Next block of 5

Suddenly the next 3 games don't look so intimidating. Ipswich and Preston (because of our record against them) look difficult

    Rivals for auto spots

From that list, Leicester and Southampton beat the 2 worst teams in the league, and Ipswich are going to be up there in May so can have second spot.

Are you starting to really believe?

Yes, obviously Dovin is a long term injury but it happened last season, still counts but at least we had the chance to properly replace him. BBC showing Torp having played in 12 games, will have to check though.

Are you starting to really believe?

4 or 5 long term injuries would be extremely unlucky.

    Next block of 5

Interesting stat. Every team has lost at least 1 game in the last 6, and only 3 teams are unbeaten in the last 4 games, Charlton, Derby, and Wrexham.

    Next block of 5

The away games do look tough but I would expect us to get something from them. I think between now and the end of the year it's all about our home form. 10 points from our 5 home games and 4 from our 5 from our away games wouldn't be too bad. I'm hopeful we can find a win from those 5. One...

Bobby Thomas to Sheff Utd ?

Well he did say "worth" 10/12 goals. Semantics, I know but it could be interpreted that he didn't have to score those goals himself

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield United Match Thread - Tuesday 4th Nov

Game 23 is Boxing day. Home games before then we have WBA, Charlton, Bristol, and Swansea. 40 points at that stage means losing one of those home games and all of Stoke, Middlesboro, Ipswich, Preston, and Southampton away.

    CWR phone in

To be fair, if Haji had have been flagged offside we would have conceded a good chance. Worked out alright though.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield United Match Thread - Tuesday 4th Nov

It's funny how quickly things change in football. Just a few months ago we were hoping to play these in the play-off final, but back then even if we had made it very few were giving us much chance. Now we are 22 points ahead of them, and there would have been meltdown on here if we hadn't won...

Can we get to 50 points

Realistically less than 19 wins, we will draw a few of the 32 games left and the way we are currently playing I can't see us losing 13. Say 17 wins, 6 draws, and 9 losses would probably do it.

    Championship thread 25/26!

Just looking at the form tables and surprisingly Middlesbrough are; 10th in the last 10 11th in the last 8 15th in the last 6 10th in the last 4 Over the same amount of games Hull and Millwall are never out of the top 3.
