I live in Sheffield now and speaking to some of the Blades up here they can’t understand why they let him go. Surely they had an inkling that Ramsdale was going to be off and that they’d need to keep the money to balance the books a bit. I watched them (SU) against WBA the other night, their...

    Waghorn.....

My observations: Our style of play this year seems to revolve around having Gyok as a raiding target man with with either two runners behind him (COH, Bright, JA, etc) or another striker playing off him (TW, MG, MW etc). Problem is, who stands in for Gyok if injured / banned? I hate saying...

He would have been a good addition IMHO. I just thought it a strange decision to join Bristol. 9 years at Leicester on (probably) a good wage might have meant that money wasn’t the driving factor compared to, say, a much younger Walsh. I thought that At 29/30 (James) might have different...

    Blackpool v Coventry City Song-Review

He must do but splices up some pre-planned lip syncing. Clearly chooses the song before knowing the result. Impressive stuff.

The end of tonight will SHFWF

And here, just here, is the SISU plan. £30/£40/£50m for going up balances their books. in the meantime, Champ TV income etc. breaks even, at least, their costs and services their debt.

    Player Ratings

Moore 8 Generally solid. Made some crucial saves. Unsure if he’s got the communication 100% with his back line but this will improve as they all get to know each other better. Dabo 8 Decent effort and a solid player at this level. The defensive side of his game is getter better and a good...

I thought he was a bit shaky preseason and then in the first half of the first match. Did well today.

    Our most underrated player is…..

Ben Wilson. Team Player - happy to not be the automatic no.1 but hasn’t got sniffy about it. Comes over as a genuine lad and laugh on interviews / podcasts. Never underestimate someone who is a genuine team player - even on the bench.

Marosi got a fairly good review for his league debut for Shrewsbury. I got laughed at for suggesting he went on loan after his injury to see if he got back his confidence to “stick his head in the way of the odd flying boot”. To me, he wasn’t quite the same when he was put back in the first...

Moore 7. Bit shaky at first (IMHO) but then came good. Dabo 8. I really rate Dabo. Stepped up to playing CD even though it’s not his natural position, kicked the floor but didn’t let his head drop. Good second half. McFadzean 9. He’s old and slow but did a great job. Plus one for getting...

    Match Thread Nottingham Forest (H)

Fell over luckily on their corner. Could have cost us. Couple of bad passes out from the back to their players. Distribution random. Doesn’t seem to command or communicate much. other than that….

That isn’t really high praise at all.

Moore gives me the shakes. DaCosta just bonkers. Sheaf doing his usual “kick the ball in a random direction - if it finds a teammate it’s a great pass, normally it doesn’t and he looks shocked and points in a similarity random direction” thing. Other than that, brilliant. Kinda.

Totally fluked the save to be fair.

Sheaf totally outpaced and on a yellow couldn’t tackle. Costs a goal.

Looking for the ball? As it goes past him or he’s miss placed the pass - yes.

Tony Dobson. If it’s when Dobson and Livingstone were regulars then the Reserve team would have been something like: Keily Booty Dobson Greenman Rodger Middleton (either) Clark H McGuire Thompson K Livingstone Houchen. from memory. Happy to be corrected.
