Who makes it in the Prem?

nobody said it would be cheap, I think they spent it quite wisely though. Add on the increase in wages across the squad and it quickly becomes a money sink hole.

Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Saturday 13th Dec

Isn't there a thread in other topics called “I hate you and want to fight you”. If there isn’t can someone start one? Lads I can’t be bothered to scroll back and find out how this spat started, but you are all embarrassing yourselves. As an aside, we beat Bristol are top of the league for...

That is how I understood it. It may have hit chest then arm and accidental, but if it helps him control it and he scores it is handball. However if he had played it across the goal and someone turned it into the net the goal would stand. Its the Luton play off final disallowed goal scenario.

    Atmosphere

Atmosphere ebbs and flows like the game, some times the crowd sparks the game and sometimes the game sparks the crowd. It has always been the same all around the country. I have been to Anfield and the Kop can be magnificent. I have also been there when they are totally flat apart from a...

They rejected our fee in the summer. His value has gone up since on loan to us. They want to keep him.

    Rushworth or Wilson

Dovin is a good keeper and an excellent prospect. Both are good shot stoppers. I just think Rushworth commands the six yard box better. But not much to choose between the two.

what is really annoying is the amount of times he is on the opposite side to ball and has the luxury of being able to look along the entire backline and he still runs into offside positions.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I'm pretty certain we have one slot left. I acknowledge the fact we need someone who can cover both wings and ideally 10 too. Andrews isn't part of the 25 squad due to age. So moving him for an older player doesn't free up a space. I think there is a case for trying to get Brau out on loan.

Kai Andrews doesn't count as part of the 25 senior players because he is under 21.

The point I'm making is you can't guarantee success. Mid season isn't the time to integrate 4 or 5 players. The more you bring in the more likely several won't hit the ground running. By the time some players settle in the season will be over. Most players don't like moving in January.

One winger who can play on either side would be better. Injuries are random and even over stocked areas can quickly be depleted. Fans have to accept versatility in the squad. Different options offer different possibilities. Fans demand a plan B and then shit the bed when one is delivered...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

25 five man senior squad including loans whatever their age. That is two in each position with 3 floating. Injuries will always weaken you. That is why Rudoni, BTA, Allen, Eccles, Latibeaudiere and Bidwell are key. They all have more than one position. You either have to accept sometimes...

But you have to integrate players. Swapping players isn't an automatic upgrade. You often don't get a return in a January signing until the following year. Grimes was an exception to the rule. I would go with one maybe two maximum. Bidwell and Brau would just force you to sign a left back...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Imagine signing Kevin Drinkell who had scored for fun at every club until he joined Coventry. Or Manchester City with a big lead at Christmas in the old First Division. Signed the best and most gifted player in that league Rodney Marsh and it totally derailed their season.

Grimes is one of those rare signings who just slots in. I would take one carefully selected signing in January, two maximum. Otherwise I think it will be more disruptive than positive.

Bassette would add absolutely nothing to the squad.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

So what is your understanding of the squad you are allowed to have? Injuries are injuries and if they fall in the wrong place at the wrong time any squad can be caught short.

What I am interested in is this mantra we need more squad depth? Do people mean we need more players in the Squad? Do they mean they want better players in the squad? The current squad isn't perfect, but no squad is. We are where we are because of them.

Saka is like that a lot away from home. There was one game where the player marking him got booked early on. You think now just take him on at every opportunity, but he just didn't. Against Preston it wasn't like he didn't get on the ball, he did, but very lack lustre Saka favours his left...
