To be fair to Blair it was the iraq war and his behaviour (money grabbing) post office that have lead to that public view. From memory he did have a positive impact especially early stages. Just seen some of Johnsons speech, where he was quite magnanimous about the labour heartland vote...

It’s hard to strongly disagree as only time will tell I guess...:but even the principled Corbyn dropped his strong principles on EU....more of a Brexiteer than Johnson but was quite happy to dump on his core support to keep Momentum happy when he had a sniff of power !

I don’t disagree that he’s not a huge euro sceptic but that scepticism has always been there (so has support of a close relationship/single market though !)

Ps one massive area of concern is the increased SNP support but let’s just see how things are post the Alex Salmond case in the New year. Also, the fact is that there was no way they would’ve agreed to support Corbyn without another independence referendum during this parliament so again people...

His reshuffle will be interesting NW. As many have tried to say, at heart he is relatively liberal (Osborne, who I have little time for, was saying last night that johnson is not a big advocate of small state either) yet others have tried to paint the picture that he’s a hard right, austerity...

On big matters important to voters maybe they do. Labour told their core support in the 2017 election they would respect the referendum result and leave (inc customs union etc). They reneged on this. Also I’m guessing nobody believed the manifesto was fully costed and would be paid for by the...

BSB, you’ll have to accept that a majority of the public (and in particular traditional labour voters) appear to trust Johnson more than Corbyn/current labour

I bet a lot more people would’ve moved if corbyn had got in ! I’m holding my tongue until the actual results are out (I still feel the exit poll might be a fair bit out and majority will be a lot smaller) but whilst a few on here would accept corbyn as leader just to get labour in, I don’t know...

Definitely the wrong course Dave. Think my second year was about 15 hours a week (plus extra study time which I obviously utilised wisely !! :))

To be fair I think there’s a higher youth engagement these days (which is good)...unfortunately quite narrow views based on limited experience (that’s not intended on being disrespectful)

Probably expected though. End of working day. I think students would’ve gone throughout the day

Agree with this mate. There is a nasty undertone to politics from momentum on the left and a devious/dishonesty (very trump like politics) from groups on the right. I’ve said a few times on various political threads my view of politics and a majority of the political class is as low as it’s...

I heard this as well Clint. Could be a big youth turnout which will definitely benefit Corbo. Also correct that if it’s safe labour seats then doesn’t really matter but I think there will certainly be a greater youth influence than predicted in the polls....especially now stormzy, Lily Allen...

really NW, not being difficult but what in the Tory manifesto suggests that (Brexit aside as this could happen under labour) ?

right decision BSB. Whether I agree with you political views or not, you spend time to try to understand the current political landscape (what’s best for you and the country) so if people like you spoil their ballot paper, we are fucked....however much it might be voting best of a bad bunch (ps...
