If we don’t sell MVE then I would use Rapha as our right wing cover for Saka, as I think he his shown - in the Luton game, against admittedly low level opposition - that he might well have what it takes. If not, then I really think that MVE can do a very good job there and we have KKH to cover...

I agree. Most players have had enough good moments over even a couple of years to look good in a highlights video. If only we had the £50 million+ that this goalkeeper is surely worth: 😆

Sometimes the anticipation and positional awareness of an experienced player can make up for a lack of pace. Think of Fatz for example. Much as I loved Fatz, peak Coady was clearly a much better player.

I don't think he is any longer of Premier League standard but I believe he will do well in the Championship.

I think the key word in your post is "currently". The club obviously wants to get another LCB in, hence the interest in Hughes. I'm sure that we will, even if it's a loan.

How can you be so sure that MVE is staying in this window? I hope you are right and I agree that things appear to have stalled but there's plenty of time left for a deal to be done. Then we have January to worry about. I think buying KKH at what I reckon was a very reasonable price was a...

As others have said, MVE can play further upfield and I actually think that is the better part of his game. If MVE stays - which we don't know - I can see still KKH getting plenty of game time.

Is it? We need cover for MVE if he stays and if he goes we need KKH and another.
