BBC has us at 74% possession for the match. That's got to be a record for us, surely?

endorsement of Fleck from Beckham.... what went wrong?

There are lots of players who were once the 'next big thing'. Francis Jeffers, Richard Wright, Jermaine Pennant, David Nugent, just off the top of my head. Some players thrive under the label, others fail. Fleck is one of those who has failed, which is why he's playing 3rd division football. Why...

    Ratings

Murphy - 6 - A few weak kicks, and he favours kicking it to one side too much, but decent enough. Christie - 3 - As has been said above, the lad had a shocker. Needs to be rested. Adams - 6 - decent enough, a few nice runs but they were few and far between today. Wood - 6 - Showed heart and...

    JPT grudge match

We were frustrated with him today. For a big guy he chickens out of too many balls in the air. I like the potential of the bloke, but today he was the weakest link.

    FAO : Ricoh Jesus

At the JPT it highly amused me when the 'Jesus, give us a song, Jesus, Jesus give us a song' shout went out. The guy's a cult. Ahem.

    Jpt

Arsenal had a total of 28 shots on goal to Bradford's 3. Bradford should never have won. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we love football.

Interesting that he seemingly thanks everyone but the Manager.

That Moldovan goal in the Cup v The Villa 1998

I had to sit in the Villa end for that one. The stewards had to form a ring of protection round me when Moldovan scored. One of my other away days to Villa Park was when Savo and Collymore were their front 2. We sang 'If you all shagged Ulrika clap your hands' to goad Stan. Collymore simply...

Chris Dunn on standby for Saturday

Utility men are few and far between in modern football. Paul Warhurst is the best example I can think of. It's worth a go as long as it isn't an unmitigated disaster and we have a 'proper' ball winner on the bench in case it is.

    Henderson on Twitter

Neil Lennon springs to mind. Apparently he was watching a game in a bar on holiday in his Incester shirt with Lennon on the back, and at half time he nipped to his room and reappeared in the bar with his N.Ireland shirt on.

The Edge: What do we think?

I guess this cuts to the heart of my question. Is he a good L1 defender who'd be out of his depth if/when we get promoted, or does he show enough to suggest he could be a mainstay in the Championship if required?

The Edge: What do we think?

So fairly positive so far then. In the pecking order of fully fit CB's where do we think he sits? Just in front of Cameron and Brown?

The Edge: What do we think?

Just wondered what people who watch him regularly think of him as a player. I've only seen him a few times and I don't think I'm in a position to judge him properly, although from what I have seen he seems like a player who makes the odd mistake but is usually good enough to make amends. Thoughts?

    Form since the 5 defeats......

I think it's fair to say that Robins is the more professional of the two, both in the way he speaks and acts. I've changed my view, and it was painful accepting I was wrong to sit on the fence about AT, but he wasn't a great manager. Would we have stayed up with someone else? I say it was...

    Form since the 5 defeats......

I was fairly apathetic toward AT; partly because he did his best during a terribly unsettling period and I couldn't bring myself to dislike him, and partly because I think managerially he was on a par with some of the other dross appointed over the past twelve years, however (and it's a big...

COLCHESTER MATCH THREAD - let's go

If he doesn't sign then some people will blame SISU, even if it is ultimately not their decision. We have to hope he enjoys being lauded by the SBA, and that he makes an emotional decision rather than financial. That, I'm afraid, seems like our only hope.

Clive Eakin made a very good point tonight

The two CDM's hold so the fullbacks can attack. You switch to 442 that option's gone, leaving us vulnerable on the attack. Besides, whoever is in the 'hole' is effectively there as a second striker if and when attacking (at least in theory). It's working, and I reckon it's because of AT's...
