    Now vs Then

I like Grimmer. He looks a good player at this level. But Sterling (on current form) looks better, and you have to play your best players as much as possible, subject to fitting in with the team. Now if it was a straight choice between fitting either Jones or Thomas into the team, I'd find that...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

I let my daughter have a play last night. She punched my horse in the face, then gave a woman a lift home and then shotgunned her in the back to loot her corpse. I wasn't sure if I should be proud or horrified.

    Form

I think it was Aidy Boothroyd who said 2 points per game gets you automatic promotion, 1.6 gets you playoffs. If we win on Tuesday we'll hit that 1.6 mark.

The season we went down we had 18 points after 15 games (1.2 points per game) We've reached that after 13 games this time around (1.38 points per game), so an improvement, but not an incredible one.

    The Parenting Thread...

My kid was ten weeks early, so it was a real surprise when she arrived. The first night I was numb. My wife was in the George Eliot, my kid at Walsgrave, and I had no idea what to do or where to go. I wanted to be there for them both. Eight weeks later the kid came out of hospital. That meant...

    Am I A Hooligan?

I've told this tale before, but I was at Villa Park in the home end with a half-dozen Villa supporting mates. It was the game that Moldovan scored in, and obviously I celebrated. The stewards had to form a ring of protection around me to protect me from the people I'd gone with. I realised at...
