Just had this off a Blues mate ‘JCS is a quality player, great signing for you. Not top level but a class above some of the shit we both see. If he stays fit, you’ll love him.’ Let’s hope so !

    All purpose cricket thread

Real shame woakes wasn’t fit, very good record at Lords (and in England in general) Sam Curran’s had some decent matches at Test level but expected more of him yesterday....bit of swing, should’ve been right up his street. Jimmy delivers again. WTF are we going to do without him ?! Hopefully...

I thought White still had a year left when he returned but might be wrong

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Sorry, I wasn't clear. If I understood it correctly hes signed a one year deal so after a year on loan could just walk away next summer (and Brighton would just get tribunal fee due to his age) ?

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

One thing I don’t get, unless I’ve misunderstood...he signed up for another year at Brighton, who I guess triggered option....but then left on season loan ?! What’s in it for Brighton ? Why not just let him go permanently now ? At worst they get a tribunal fee due to age. Have I missed something ?

Defend US or question their conduct ? Hopefully you meant the later as I can’t defend US conduct with regard to the vaccines (and hopefully it didn’t come across that way)

Agree about the clotting risk being played out and the messaging never really recovering, even when everyone tried to say that the risk from getting covid was far greater. This has just been jumped on by the nutters as well Merkel took AZ first and then Moderna second, which probably didn’t...

Not sure anyone’s defended the US Shmmeee ? I said their conduct was questionable at the same time as commenting on Macron. Everyone then jumped in to say ‘yeah, but US is worse’…I think the behaviour of both has been pretty disgusting

From memory his comments were based on a misunderstanding of the data reports. Whether he had ulterior motives as well I’m not sure. Basically at the time there wasn’t the same level of trials undertaken for oldest age groups ie the data just wants there. This was jumped on by a paper (*German I...

His words would’ve put people off taking it. I’ve seen it first hand in vaccine centres with people (mainly European) refusing the AZ vaccine, when that was all that was on offer. To say it was upsetting is an understatement I presume both US and Europe have a substantial amount of unused AZ...

It isn’t much, an indirect ‘we’re not signing it off yet but we’ve got loads of Pfizer so not an issue’ or a direct ‘its not very good/doesnt work’...take your pick. I said in original post there’s questions over US conduct, macrons comments were more damaging in my view though

I’ve said Pfizer might well be more effective but ultimately AZ will probably still save hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide. People are rejecting it when it’s prevents severe illness/death. If you’ve got loads of alternatives, great, take your pick, if you haven’t, just have it

As Dog says though there’s one thing hoarding, which appears to have happened in US and Europe, there’s another claiming a vaccine is quasi effective/may not work

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Nothing at all, it’s each to their own. Just saying what I’d do now....if that’s allowed ?! 😊 I was borderline between going into work and uni, chose uni as got a grant but didn’t really have an idea of what I’d do after it/with my degree. It served me well and I loved it but ultimately in...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Cant remember if I posted the other day (meant to) but if I was an 18 year old today I’d almost certain do an apprenticeship rather than a generic Uni course. I can understand if someone needs a certain course for a career ie medicine etc but there’s so much cash to be earned from getting a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

To be fair if China get their artificial sun to work they could save the planet ...or by (potentially creating and) releasing any more deadly viruses into the wider world and causing millions of deaths to reduce global population... Would prefer option 1 😊 Ps agree though, US needs to lead...

I agree, you’re right mate. They are being palmed off on them….by some countries who have refused to use them and pretty much slandered them, which is why the reticence. It appears that Pfizer might well work better against delta variant but try rolling that out quickly with the refrigeration...

It’s crazy mate. If people don’t want to take it, it’s stupid but ultimately their call, to spread bullshit kills others. The misinformation spread about AZ in particular has been nothing short of disgusting, that’s not even from nut jobs though, but from political leaders protecting their own...
