To be fair they’ve pinned us back second half. We’ve been sloppy in patches, giving ball away, silly corners etc but they’ve been good

Great finish by Walker that was in the end, especially as he was off balance. Well deserved lead as well, played some really good stuff in patches.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Nightclubs for one were very much against vaccine passports, I’d imagine a lot of pubs would be as well although probably easier for them to manage

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I’d imagine tonight’s briefing will be a final push for more vaccinations and boosters with the threat of Plan B hanging over everyone As has been mentioned, even that isn’t too painful for most individuals. Masks, vaccine passports etc. Not sure of the impact on certain businesses though

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Not surprised by Spain. There is no way their Covid figures have looked correct to me for a long time I agree that it might be worth bringing back some of the minor protection/restriction stuff (mask wearing in certain surroundings for example). I’m just not convinced it alone will make much...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

This is right and i think it has widened in recent months (even more so compared to Germany). I presume this is at least partly because we’re testing people who necessarily aren’t ill/are asymptomatic If we’re assuming that everyone will ultimately get it at some stage and the focus is more on...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Looks like they were careful with the statement wording. Probably happened but they say they followed rules (certainly if the individual lived on their own I think they could’ve joined bubble although even if they didn’t live alone I thought it was possible for xmas day ?!…there been lots of...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Rightly or wrongly, I’d imagine there’s an element of accepting the wider circulation of the virus over late summer/autumn rather than winter. There feels like an acceptance now that everyone is going to get it at some stage You’d hope that the scientists/gov/nhs are keeping a close eye on...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, you’d hope that there’s some reflection on all sides....not that the murder had anything to do with that anyway by the sounds of it

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’ve not really looked into voting records and had never heard of him personally, more basing it on hearing views from politicians from all parties

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Probably difficult to pin down the full motives behind it other than he’s probably just a sad, terrorist nutter By all accounts Amess appears a decent guy/politician

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Agree that it’s just hypocritical when he’s used similar language in the past however looking at the article he makes some valid points, as did Matthew syed in a Sunday times article a few weeks back. The language used around MPs/politicians/politics is unhealthy. I personally think there is...

    Gas and co2 crisis

I’m fixed but I thought due to the cap standard tarrif prices could only rise by around £160 per year for an average house from Oct. If you do a new fix now it’s likely to be high as that’s outside the cap. Heard old Martin Lewis saying just drop onto standard tarrif for time being if your fix...

    Brexit Benefits

This is Boris now mate, he’s spunking cash everywhere so sure he can find a few quid to get the 50k HGV licences through a bit quicker (i would’ve thought the optics of problems over Xmas aren’t worth the risk of not sorting it)
