The fact that it won't link up with the Eurostar line is stupid IMO. It should go to St Pancras. I admit that's not the easiest logistically but given the overall cost of the project and the long term effect they want it to have it's something that needed to be sorted out.
If he does want to leave it seems like it's likely for one of two reasons.
1) He wants to play at a higher level and increase his earnings even more
That's fine. Teams at that level can afford the price we'll want for him and his wages.
2) It is domestic and he wants to move to Holland to be...
What, like, say, the end of July? Giving us a month to sell him and get in a replacement?
Though I doubt it'd have been said in the confrontational way you put as, as that'd be pretty much guaranteeing him saying no.
I can see him hanging on for a bit to get to 700 wickets, hoping he can get there against some of the 'smaller' teams.
Once he gets there I think he'll be off.
Although that is more rounded off square pegs in round holes. Eccles is a DCM, Lati is more a central player and Tatsu is more attacking. Burroughs was brought through the ranks playing a more central/attacking role and is being retrained as a WB, and is left-footed.
Imagine MVE got injured...
I can see him really exciting the crowd, but blowing a bit hot and cold also potentially losing possession quite a bit as well. Sakamoto could be of a similar ilk IMO.
I think MVE will excite people but be more consistent.
It's worth remembering that when HR was built in 1899 it would have been much closer to the edge of the city boundary than when we all remember it. There was a lot of expansion around the city during the 20th century.
Felt a bit disappointed when I saw it was a loan. Been a bit spoiled so far this window haven't we?
Still a decent signing and maybe we can consider making it permanent later on.
I think you could put Howley in that group too, even if he is a WIP.
AM as well I'd say we're covered when everyone is fit.
Palmer
O'Hare
Sakamoto
Allen
Hamer can play more advanced and did so successfully end of last season
Arguably Burroughs can play an attacking midfield role too.
Then...
Like a lot of people I was OK with Gyokeres leaving as long as the money was used to upgrade the quality and quantity of the squad.
It seems like the club are ticking those boxes. Funds well used on the face of it.
