    Hamer

Gyokeres was the same and look what his transfer fee is allowing us to do. Of course if it's a personal issue I wholeheartedly sympathise with his situation and would love it if the club could give him the move he wants. But we also have to think of the clubs interests and frankly we can't...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

My head cannot accept for one second we might be spending that kind of money on a transfer. It just feels like a massive risk if he doesn't succeed.

    23/24 Fixtures

Does anyone know when the U21/U18 fixture are released? I like to nip along to these occasionally when work allows but not seen anything mentioned anywhere.

    Ashes 2023

It was a good series, and one that on balance we probably deserved to win. Still think the decision to declare in that first test was ok, even though we lost it. Stats throw up a few surprises. Bairstow takes the gloves as he actually took more catches and had a much higher batting average...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

    So a Tory think-tank then.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek as it alienates those who live further away and can't just pop over to get a ticket. Plus depending on when they're released you'd have people at work unable to get there either. Unless the plan is to sell the tickets on the day of the game and all the...

    Who can replace him?

I think the issue is not that he doesn't have the technical ability, just that he tries to score from almost every corner he takes. It's a very low percent likelihood and after a while teams pretty much plan for it.

Here's hoping for one last Broad super spell.

    Ben Sheaf

But a lot of Hamer's goalscoring came when he was being given the freedom to push forward a bit more. Having Sheaf and Eccles together wouldn't be a problem if Hamer is still here as he can use his creativity to help support and feed Simms as well as get more chances himself. Plus I think those...

    All Ireland Gaelic Football Final

Used to watch this and the hurling on Sundays on some programme like Transworld Sport. Was a good watch.

He's done alright so far IMO.

    F1 2023

With it being an almost foregone conclusion and long-term the attitude towards internal combustion I can definitely see some sort of merger between FE and F1.

I did say 'like Feyenoord'. I was thinking more just Dutch teams in general, if what he wants is to be nearer his son.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I remember it being sold as a 'levelling up' sort of deal - connecting the north better and so making it more enticing to investment. Personally I thought that was horseshit and it was a way of allowing BHX to be used as extra airport capacity to London. I never expected anything other than...

    Hamer

Indeed, as I've suggested elsewhere amongst other options. I guess it depends on just how much a team like Feyenoord could afford. If it's around £8m, then stuff like the sell-on clause and incentives based around CL progression could be acceptable. If it's more like £5m we're going to need...

But mot of ours is based on promotion to PL, which comes with a massive windfall. It's also a possibility. What would Feyenoord do? Offer a massive amount for winning the CL?
