    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I've got mine on the 21st. My wife just had Covid a few weeks back, around 37 weeks pregnant. Thankfully she was fine other than losing her sense of taste and smell which hasn't totally come back. I guess being double jabbed stopped more severe reactions. Thankfully, neither me nor my son got...

    England Women

Yep, that's my point, why it's 50 years behind. Exactly, I don't see why some take such offence to it.

Last response - you might be right. But you or I don't know that. What I do know is that if the womens and mens games opportunities had been the same over the last 50 years, the standard of womens football would be higher than it is now. It's only going to get better.

    England Women

Anywho, I'm done on this one ;-) Respect peoples difference of opinion. Just don't get the hyperbole around media coverage or the fact that womens football is trying to improve. Anyway, I'm off to sort out the accommodation requirements for Aston Villa WFC away to Man Utd WFC later this month...

And the physiological differences isn't in question. But women are 50 years behind men when it comes to training etc - they've not had the opportunities afforded to men when it comes to training so men have honed their football techniques much more than women. Regardless of the physiological...

Who cares? Not you but many others do. And that number continues to grow. THAT'S the point.... And yeah, I'm sure if you put a Hinckley match on TV, it would get more viewers than England Women vs Latvia....🙄

    England Women

Het up - not you specifically. Mens Football and there is Womens Football - correct, there is. And one is trying to improve so it becomes better - what's the issue in that? What damage does it do to you if they don't say it's Man Utd vs Aston Villa Women - seriously, who cares FFS?! And it's...

'Properly shoved down our throats' Jesus Wept....
  11. Skyblueweeman

    England Women

How are they trying to force it on people? They're just covering the news on womens football - to help promote it, to help it grow etc? It's not as if someone is holding a gun to your head saying 'you must watch Man Utd Women vs Aston Villa Women', is it?! And so what if SS sent you an alert...

    England Women

But that's the point - things won't improve in womens football if it continues to sit in the shade. It needs coverage for more people to become interested...that'll put more money into womens football, that'll improve the facilities, the standard of coaching, the quality of the end product. If...

    England Women

No one is shoving it down your throat FFS....stop being so melodramatic. Why shouldn't women have the opportunity to play football at a high level...it'll take time for it to get near the level of the mens game (it might never do) but it won't improve it all with sexist attitudes like yours...

Kerry Katona sells pics of her minge online...so what? You're picking out the exception to the rule. Like I said, they're 50 years behind mens football. It won't improve if neanderthals keep knocking it...it's only going to get better with support and patience FFS.

    England Women

Agreed. And it's important to remember that this was the fault of the quality of the opposition and not Englands fault. The womens games is 50 years behind the mens game in the UK so needs time to catch up but the WSL and the media deals around it are a great step to helping the womens game...

Oh Lord - RIP John Sillett

What an infectious smile. RIP Snoz...thanks for giving me my first and greatest memory as a CCFC fan. A true great who will be fondly missed by the Sky Blues 😥

Keeping the same kit beyond one season.

If the club could make it work financially, I'd be up for a new kit every other season. Or as ajsccfc says, home kit one season, away kit next season.

    Match Thread Bournemouth away

And just seen that W**ps lost at 'home' today as they couldn't capitalise on a late onslaught against their opponents. Late comebacks aren't for everyone.
