I genuinely enjoy that, please don't let that be taken away from me.

I enjoyed the insult "lunchbox" haha! But also, I think it's more the fact that we probably don't need anywhere near 6 new players to give it a real go this season. Therefore I can understand people's frustration.

    Mad mackems deluded as ever

"No thanks, another one of these small time lower league plodders who haven’t got a f***ing clue about managing a club of our size with (whether you like it or not) premier league expectations in terms of standards" You still have time to change your mind @JimmyHillsbeard ! I think this is...

The fans there wouldn't appreciate everything he does just because his finishing is poor... oh wait...

It's a good job for somebody who can win all the games they're in-charge for, forever and all eternity.

It's as if under Mark Robins tenure, we've not had a single massive / embarrassing loss! Their manager is doing okay. They'd probably have gone up by now if Jack Ross had remained in charge.

Decent job for someone looking for an early retirement settlement!

    Bidwell

Bidwell obviously a lot more 'sensible' than Maatsen. However, my preference is Maatsen because of how far he gets forward and the excitement factor. Clearly I would be a poor football manager...

    Mad mackems deluded as ever

Mark Robins I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to manage such a "big club" where the majority of an unusually impatient and unrealistic fanbase would want him out after two losses in a row 😂 Say what you like about our fans, some of who are daft as anything (hi cc84...), but Robins has largely...

    The gradual shift in style...

So the general consensus is it just seems more intense / a higher tempo because we're actually just better now haha. Happy enough with that.

    Hamer

You have said similar things to this a while back and you were wrong then 😉 Good player for us alongside Sheaf it makes for a decent balance. He plays without the fear of making mistakes. Which sometimes leads to... mistakes. But even so, the good bits make up for that.

    The gradual shift in style...

League One title winning season we seemed to be focused on ball retention / possession at a much slower tempo. Now, it feels like from since mid-way through last season, we have been trying to get the ball forward much more quickly and we're more focused on playing at a higher tempo, which...

He did, but Jagielka was completely on his heels and not ready to receive the ball.

    Player ratings

Moore - 1 - Barely made a save. Should just buy a season ticket behind one of the goals if he has to play in any more games like that. McFadz - 7 - Solid as a rock. Hyam - 7 - Would have been higher if it wasn't for losing the ball in that daft position. JCS - 8 - Pick of the centre backs...

Eccles nervy and a bit untidy but you can see the quality he has. Sheaf and Hamer equal parts messy and great with the volleyed pass being a highlight. Shipley trying stuff but doesn't hold onto the ball well enough for that position. Gyokeres looks fired up / bullish, but missing that final...
