Yep, Sheaf is definitely a leader and there’s a decent supporting cast of leaders like Lati, Kitching, Bidwell and even the likes of Allen. That all said, not many of those will be starters so it’s still a gap in my view. More experience won’t be a bad thing especially given how young the team is.

Agreed and whilst we have a ‘model’ that we’ll follow, you don’t want to have a team with next to no experience to help the players through tough games and situations. A player like McNair and Browne (for example) would be a great fit. Southampton signed some really good young players in 22/23...

It’s still early in the window, we’re probably going to sign 7 or 8 players this summer. We’ve got some great signings that have great profiles but the gap will be 1-3 players with experience. The value of having Kelly and McFadz in the Championship was huge even if they weren’t the best players.

The burden is on the classroom sizes and financially. Every student that moves from private education to the state sector carries the cost of £6.6k to £8.8k per pupil. So if we need even more teachers to deal with the influx of new students, it could defeat the point of the levy.

There’s definitely a lot of spite regarding this topic and others. If people can afford better, they should somehow be punished for that. Really, these people are doing the taxpayer a favour because the state doesn’t need to pay for their children’s education.
