    Hiwula on target

I think he has done well, but along with the rest of our forwards he must take some responsibility for not scoring as many as he should have. Having 69% on target is great, but actual goals scored is really the only stat that matters for a forward - although I'll accept assists as well....

    Apologies!

    This Season

In agreement with you again, except that you again miss out the obvious number of points dropped by the wasted chances. We should have been 2 - 0 up at half-time yesterday, which may have taken us onto a win, as a prime example. If we do stay at the Ricoh, we'll have to learn to play a little...

    Targets for Next Season

Perhaps we could have Brentford's current keeper as an exchange? As far as Norwood goes, Tranmere are in the play-offs, having been promoted last year. Would he want to come to us?

    Ratings

Agree almost wholeheartedly with what you say - except you missed ....."and Thomas" - had he scored either of his chances (and yes, credit for the runs and making the chances) we may well have won the game.

    Shipley or Bayliss at CM

Perhaps if Thomas doesn't return next season, we could put Bayliss out on the right side of midfield again - not quite as good for his game, but it would allow Robins the chance to play them both.

JCH - did we really misjudge him ?

And your point is what? Before he left we had won only 2 of the previous 7 home games, and since he went, you have overlooked the fact that we are unbeaten away, with 4 wins and 2 draws..... As someone else has said, it seems that his move has been good for him, and also hasn't made that much...

Sunderland fans forum - post match

Perhaps there are many of them who are reasonable people who just support their club and who are embarrassed about the knuckle-draggers amongst them?

Match Thread Sunderland vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Apr

Ho ho - what a funny post - bet you spent ages thinking that one up. I notice your first post in this whole thread was when Burge fucked up - I expect you were just waiting for that. Or were you keeping an eye on JCH and his exploits at Bristol Rovers?

    Rarely mentioned past players.......

But he also scored quite a few goals, including 2 in a game to deprive Blackburn(??) of the title

    Rarely mentioned past players.......

Not seen Steve Witton mentioned. Wore the number 7 shirt, seemed very languid in his style, but had a fantastic shot on him, and scored a few great goals in the late 70's/early 80's?

    Noel Whelan/Dave Bennet

He was being called "Snowy" by the compere and others in the Legends lounge yesterday - hopefully a nickname from the past. David Speedie made a rather unusual speech, after the basics about being happy to be back etc, he launched into a tirade against the PFA (pension scheme), and was rather...

    Video Coventry v Oxford U

I was in the posh seats yesterday, and what the replay doesn't show is that Burge was baulked badly by the player on the line as the ball was crossed - may not have been seen from blocks 15 - 23, and obviously not seen by the ref, who also missed so many obstructions, body-checks and other...

This is a red letter day - I fully agree with (and can read!!) everything in this comment. Now let's hope Luton put 15 past Donny to wipe out their goal difference! PUSB

    Fleetwood Highlights

Looking at Burge's kick for the first goal, he looks dangerously close to being out of the box when kicking it - it's something many keepers do, and I'm not sure I understand why. He also made a pretty good save from the first shot by Madden for Fleetwood's goal. And credit to the ref (someone...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Mar

Great to see optimism is back on here. We have 5 away games left, all against teams above us - but that may be better for us as we seem to play better against the teams who play less "Division 3" football. Using the old football phrase - One game at a time - let's see what happens on Saturday.
