Match Thread ⚽️ Watford vs Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 5th Nov

Got to hold my hands up, Wilson has never convinced me but can’t knock defensive record since he’s been in. A couple of great saves recently as well

Not sure Wilson’s got his angles right there 😊

Yeah, I presume they were showing the worst hence my additional comment about France and Spain.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I was talking about US and their fiscal policy. Most of our current inflation is linked back to the war although some, especially initially, was caused by covid assistance to people who didn’t need it, others having spare cash post covid (due to not spending much during pandemic) and supply...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I thought that at the start of the summer but was there any credible buyers ?! As soon as the stadium looked like it might be up for grabs I’m surprised more didnt move for us What’s wrong with us ?! 😢

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

we’ll never agree on this Fernando but just look at the US and their stock markets and house prices since the start of covid. Printing vast amounts of money (and maintaining minimal interest rates) boosts asset values and predominantly benefits the richest in society and there is no way all...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Way too low for too long. Haha, ‘Tory sympathiser’…its softening ! Think i used to be seen as their head of comms 😊 You mean floating voters ?! Extremely unlikely. I’ve still got a major concern that the nutters on the right are running the show…or at least heavily influencing Sensible...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Im a little bit sceptical about that. There’s a lot of variables. I’m still kind of hoping that the war ends and that has a positive impact on energy prices/wider economy. my worry though is whether it’s too late and now we’ve all cut off Putin/Russias oil and gas, prices just can’t be brought...

    Migrants crossing from Europe

Too many migrants, not enough gear on the boats

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Is that you Tony ?! 😊. There might be a small part but probably tiny in grand scheme of things This was on a finance programme I saw the other day (im a dull man I know !) I think France and Spain are around 7-8% due to government assistance/suppression of energy costs. I’ve not fact checked...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It is but to different degrees and with impact at different times. It’s up to the government to come out and make it less painful…I’m not overly confident

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Some if it, especially at the start post covid and for us/Europe it’s majority energy, but US is far more demand led (and all the QE)

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I did make the point that the good news was caused by the bad/worse news

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

100% agree about furlough, excessive government borrowing etc mate. In hindsight it definitely caused problems but most would argue it was probably right call at the time. BOE also carried on QE too long and were late to raise rates (as we’re all central banks) My point about US is they were...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

0.75 as expected. Good news is they’re expecting our terminal rate to be less than many anticipate, bad news is that’s because the recession will do the job for them in relation to inflation So another bit of related good news is they’re now expecting inflation to peak at around 11% not 13%+...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Him, Gilbert and others almost talk as if Ashley sneaked round the back door (so to speak) to get a deal stitched up before anyone else could move. Everyone knew what was happening and had every opportunity. If they didn’t progress interest it’s either they didn’t have the cash, weren’t...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Agree with this and said something similar before. We are in the championship, have players of value and although loss making costs appear under control ish. Throw in the opportunity to get hold of the stadium and it should be/should’ve been the time when a sales gets done
