You're right, it isn't that hard. Who has ultimate responsibility for matchday safety?

I think some people on here believe that. Almost like it’s a privilege that the club allow us to watch

A reasonable explanation for most part, bit about block 13 makes no sense though

Great. So no points deductions for us then if we go on the pitch. It’s all down to ACL, and nothing to do with CCFC

So who is actually on that?

Exactly that. SAG advice is like taking your car to a garage, where they tell you the brakes are about to go. It’s your choice if you get the brakes fixed, but if you don’t and then crash you’ll then be in the poo.

It being something to do with Frasers is not the same thing as it being Frasers responsibility

That’s complete speculation and would need to be tested in court. The club could equally turn around to Fraser’s and say “our licence agreement allows every block to be open”. Matchday operations and spectator safety are the responsibility of the club, not Frasers. Them being landlord does not...

No. They are legally allowed to go against the advice of the SAG. The clue is in the name, it’s advice. Advice can be taken or ignored. What would happen if they didn’t take it would depend on what happened at the match. If they ignored SAG advice, and there was a riot the club would be...

I’ve been in that lounge before and there was indeed a steward on the door. However he didn’t seem all that interested and was just letting everyone in. There wasn’t any checks

We’ve been through all this already, and as forum moderator I’m surprised you want to stoke up an argument again. Aren’t you supposed to calm things down on here? And as we’ve discussed, it is the club making every decision, however they are heavily dependent on advice to ensure matchday...

What have they put in place to stop Boro fans in block 8 crowding into block 9?

You don’t see the problem though? Am I a customer or am I a supporter? Supporters have a right to know everything about matchday operations barring commercial sensitivities

That’s fine then. I can find an interest to spend my money on that will engage with me.

The club is to blame for the piss poor communication regarding this. Fans have a right to know the reasons

Also, the lower part of block 13 is next to that large exit tunnel, so it would be impossible to get into the south stand from there anyway. Even if we accept their ridiculous argument, there is no reason not to open the lower part of the block

Pete if you get the chance please ask why they think a fence and 1500 city fans already in blocks 11 & 12 won’t stop migration into the south stand, but a picture of Jimmy Hill will?
  18. bigfatronssba

    TICKETS

Communication is appalling. The reasons need to be given for not opening 13. We as fans might have a solution to the problem if they were willing to tell what the actual problem is
  19. bigfatronssba

    Nothing to fear

Also I think being away for the second leg helps. There is more riding on the second leg, which will make for a more nervous atmosphere amongst the home fans.

Well as was posted on here that Sunderland are having a 45k “sell out” in a 49k stadium, it demonstrates that it’s a problem only affecting lower divisions. As Sunderland’s record PL attendance was only about 300 below full capacity (so segregation must’ve been minuscule). Meaning that Premier...
