    Why are football clubs struggling?

Also they cannot sell season tickets for next season yet , and probably for a few months yet, plus a number of clubs borrow money on the back of future season ticket sales.

After the Elation - The questions

If you read the article/interview in today's Times with the Cardiff City CEO he infers that 50% of the clubs currently in the Championship are up for sale. He quotes Derby as a club with a non sustainable business model. Leeds are the same if they don't promoted this season. If you had money...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The majority of clubs have furloughed their staff and players. Once training re starts they cannot be on the furlough scheme. The clubs cannot afford to pay the employees without income from gate money. Any matches played will be behind closed doors Unless the EFL fund the clubs or money paid to...

Out of interest do you blame the government for everything. Labour or Conservative. People should take responsibility for their own actions and decisions and be able to make commonsense decisions without looking to the government every day for direction.

    Premier League

The only problem with Boris stay alert policy is it assumes you have a brain and common sense. If you listen to the left wing tossers at the BBC you would assume that 95% of people are thick, which of course, may be true.

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

I predict Boris will make an announcement in the next week saying no sport of any kind until (say) 1st September That will keep it simple and the PL and EFL will then have to decide if they void the season, promote and relegate under PPG rules or promote but don't relegate.
  17. bawtryneal

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

I think they are probably correct In my view there is zero chance of the EFL season restarting. If they re start the Premier League, without relegation as is being suggested, then what is the point. There will be nothing to play for in the majority of games and all integrity will be lost.

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

Its not people inside the grounds, its the people who will congregate outside that are the problem Can you imagine the day Liverpool are crowned champions or Leeds are promoted for example Thousands will congregate outside Anfield or Elland Road irrespective of them playing at home or away or on...
