    Coronavirus (CCFC Related)

So to do this and avoid points penalties they would need 75% of members to agree to it. Is that 75% of Championship Clubs or 75% of all EFL teams? Either way I don't see how they could get it agreed. If just 7 teams in the Championship vote against Group Administration it fails - Any teams...

A picture says a thousand words

.......... but that's the whole point. You want some random person chosen by the EFL to decide our fate. That person might take a contrary view to ourselves, see some arbitrary factor like goal difference, where a few other teams are ahead of us, and think that we had a flukey season so far and...

    RIP Norman Hunter

Was Bobby Moore World Class? I know he was our World Cup winning captain, but he played most of his career at West Ham as part of a fairly porous defence. Not sure I actually ever saw him live, if I did it would have been at the end of his career anyway, but interested to know what the old...

Video CLASSIC GAME | Coventry City v Arsenal, 26th December 1999

Agreed. His fall out with Strachan was definitely a factor in our relegation from the Prem.

Fly on the wall football films/documentaries

Watched 'Graham Taylor: An Impossible Job', the other day. Saw it when it first came out, but was good to watch again. I then watched 'Mike Bassett England Manager' which is obviously a parody of the former, which I again hadn't watched for years, but was good to watch again.

No, I want to see this season finished with matters decided on the pitch, where they should be decided, not off them, and regardless of how long that might take. In your scenario, would you accept the EFL/ Premier led pools panel decision, if it resulted in other teams finishing above us and us...

A picture says a thousand words

Because it's completely random! You're as well having a computer simulated game if you want to do this (which is also ridiculous). All ex Pro's decisions would be subject to their bias towards their old teams and against their rivals. How would we feel with a panel including ex Sunderland or...

    RIP Norman Hunter

During this lockdown I've started watching a lot of old football clips on youtube. From 1970 onwards there are all the goals from each season captured by ITV. Each season is covered in about 90 minutes, and I've just got to the end of 1973/74 season. It includes the Star Soccer Midlands games...

Video CLASSIC GAME | Coventry City v Arsenal, 26th December 1999

The loss of Keane and McAllister had a huge impact on the team the following season unfortunately

I've seen a few others mention this type of thing, but surely you're on the wind up Houch? Of all the ideas of how to sort this out, this is up there with the most ridiculous.

Several EFL Clubs “days away from going bust”

How does cancelling the season help clubs in financial trouble? Surely these clubs would rather restart the season, so as to bring some much needed income in.

Lee Dixon's own goal at Highbury was a bit special :)

Match Thread Blackpool vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 18th Apr

So many of our greatest memories of following City are not only connected to the football, but to the sharing of those days with our support. If you think of the Wolves promotion game, the last gasp relegation escapes, 1987 and our trips to Wembley, the play off game at Notts County etc, all...

    Chants of old...And new

Covkid - no the film is recent, from last year. It colourized old WW1 footage and used lip readers to translate the Tommy's words captured on film ,which they then dubbed over it. Absolutely brilliant film making, and makes it really come to life. I watched it in Warsaw last Summer, and the...

Gael Bigirimana on the Nii Lamptey Show

I really don't get the unbridled hatred some of our fans have towards him. He isn't good enough to play for us right now, but he isn't playing for us, so what's the problem? He was a promising player when he first came into our team in the Championship as a 17 year old, which is why Newcastle...

    First ever CCFC memories ?

My first game was as an evening game against Arsenal in August 1972. I remember entering the stadium where the image of the floodlights, the green grass and noise of the crowd immediately won me over. I don't remember the actual game particularly other than it finished 1-1. The 11v11.com site is...

    Chants of old...And new

Yes it was played at the end of the film, 'They shall not grow old'. A film I would recommend watching to anyone whose not seen it. I defy anyone watching it to not to be moved to tears.

    FA cup match v Stoke

Is there really that much in it? Sterling's been a flop this season at Wigan, whereas Grimmer was one of Wycombe's top players as they reached the top of our league. Their subsequent decline has coincided with Grimmer getting injured. Its irrelevant anyway, as Dabo is light years ahead of both.

City players who were panned, or not rated by most, but who you quite liked

I'm not sure Scowcroft was ever an out and out striker like Morrell was, and I think before moving to the wing he had mostly played in a deep lying number 10 role (if you know what I mean).
