Assuming we are promoted - your thoughts

It's what nearly 50 years of disappointment leads to! Sods law that this was the first season in all that time that I was watching games believing the team wasn't going to lose.

Fly on the wall football films/documentaries

You're right about Clough, but Peter Taylor had strong Cov connections, and I'm sure would have happily come here.

    Salary cap next season?

Ridiculous idea and impossible to manage. It would result in a lot of underhand practices and exchanges of undeclared payments in order to bypass it by those with deeper pockets. Better to keep things as they are - if clubs don't want to overstretch themselves then they should start by simply...

    National league cancelled

After a slow start in the league they had built up a real head of steam before the season was halted, and are are potentially one of the biggest losers from this decision, as their momentum and larger support would have given them an advantage in a play off scenario. I guess if there is a null...

    Can we help CCFC?

Not sure, but we would be better off than others if the season is resumed BCD, presuming that streaming games on ifollow would be open to everyone. As a percentage to average home crowds, our take up would vastly exceed every other team in the League, including Sunderland and Portsmouth.

Assuming we are promoted - your thoughts

I don't want to tempt fate - the wind seems to be blowing towards a null and void outcome, so I will look forward to next season once I know the outcome of this season.

Young Stalin? I read it on holiday last year, hence how I knew the answer. I also visited Georgia last year and was fascinating seeing places referred to in the book.

    EFL Meeting 1pm today

On a side note it would be interesting to know what the ifollow viewing figures are for each EFL team as we are right now. If we had to play BCD I think our club's database of fans, which I think is very large, should come into play by sending out mailshots concerning the availability of ifollow...

    EFL Meeting 1pm today

Not for a club like Accrington he isn't. He knows that their take up will be relatively small given their small support base, and that they are a team that doesn't have much to play for. Its pure self interest on his part to end the season now. If his team was in a relegation place it is...

    My Coventry player quiz

I don't think we were on Star Soccer that much either, although there were a lot of midlands teams for ATV to choose from. Anglia TV by comparison effectively had only Ipswich or Norwich, with Luton occasionally thrown into the mix, so they featured much more regularly.

Video MANAGER LOCKDOWN Q&A | Preview - Checkatrade or Play-Off Final

Its weird but right from the off it just felt like our day. Our support had a massive impact I think, and raised our players performance levels accordingly. The press attention focused mostly on us too, which I think filtered through to Oxford and their players in a negative way, resulting in...

    My Coventry player quiz

Yes, that includes cup games too. 51 were league games, so basically 2 a season. The season we were on most was 80/81, when we appeared 6 times (including one cup match). In 68/69 we didn't appear at all.

    My Coventry player quiz

Surprisingly not. I thought the same as you, and remember always thinking that we never did well in front of the cameras. Anyhow 25 wins, 18 draws and 18 losses. Pretty good considering we were a lower half team for the majority of that time period.

Video CLASSIC GAME | Coventry City v Arsenal, 26th December 1999

It was around the same time, not sure if it was the next game though. Your memory is shocking though as we beat Villa. That game was probably Keane and Roussel's best performance together.

    My Coventry player quiz

Here's another random question - Before the introduction of the Premier League (1966 - 1991) we featured in Match of the Day highlights on 61 occasions. Did we have more wins, losses or draws in those games?

Also not sure Murphy had a fight with Kenny Burns as such, rather than Murphy just kicked him in the balls and laid him flat out :)

    Having a sort out

Was that posted by Nick? I'm pretty sure I remember him being a fan of McBean (not so sure about Sterry and Burge though).
