Match Thread Coventry City vs Middlesbrough Play off Semi final 1st leg Match Thread -Sunday 14th May

A great shame we couldn't manage an early goal as Monday. With them chasing the game we'd have gone on to win it today I had been thinking. We were much too deep but they couldn't finish us off luckily. Still in it and all to play for..

McSheffrey critical of the quality out wide on CWR. Sky were pointing out the space between the top two and the midfield which left Gods and Gyoks pretty isolated. I was mad at Hamer for shooting with Gods totally free on the left. He was 'a bit miffed' too.

Let's do them in both games so they have nothing to complain about...

They're poor defensively, far too open. Remember where you heard it first ;)

That's for certain. Robins would need to be promised the season no matter what up front.

Make sure they investigate the cause properly won't you, can be a lot of things from kidney cancer to blocked artery in the neck etc etc

He'd be daft not to really, it must have been his plan but it could happen earlier than he'd been anticipating.

4-1 home win. I think we'll be far too strong for them at home, especially if we can get the 1st goal. I hope they don't sit back and play too deep though or we're in trouble.

    Take over

I was reading today that Burnley lost 14 players on relegation and only 4 brought in a fee in return. I guess that was just off-loading the wages

Are you happy with the season

The aim will be to stay up i'm sure, just like the first Championship season or 1968!

That's the thing about nasty injuries, you never really know at what level they might play at afterwards and how long it might take

Are you happy with the season

Great season but marred by CoH missing most of it. I suppose that if he'd been fit at the start of the season he would have been sold off but that wasn't the case. His injury was very cruel luck

EFL new TV rights deal (hopefully irrelevant !)

I saw this: From the 2024/25 season onward, this new deal with Sky Sports will effectively replace the EFL’s domestic video streaming option provided via iFollow and Club streaming services So it only refers here to the video stream. I'm none the wiser...

    Next seasons Away Kit

There must be a reason for that - is it unavailable for the players perhaps?

EFL new TV rights deal (hopefully irrelevant !)

I hope we'd still get the CWR feed on iFollow and the full game next day. Secondly I hope it's all on normal Sky without having to fork out for the Q box

    Robins Interview

He's said as much himself! The Sweden team will want him playing at the highest level and will have told him that, for sure.

    Not on sky

You can bet if the shoe had been on the other foot we wouldn't have been on either. Truth is Blackburn and Sunderland are on week in and week out.
