The manager makes a world of difference too. Terry Butcher anyone? Just watching oggy having to kick long to Gally and Nuddy the smallest lads in the division for a season was an embarrassment. Something so obviously wasn't working but the manager didn't seem to have the nouse to fix or else the...

    12 months left on contract

It would be a surprise if Callum's knee could take the 10 fouls per game battering of the past and it's unlikely that he would have the confidence in it either. He's going to have to recover strongly and find a way to rework his game a little perhaps. I don't think they'll be rushing as yet to...

I think it was Robins himself who said that he wasn't expecting much in the way of extra resources.

SISU was beginning to lose money hand over fist. We need some success on the pitch just to stabilise the finances. A fraction of any extra money from sales might be available for transfer fees, two strikers replacing Waghorn and Walker won't be cheap for starters. Wages are only going in one...

There won't be any more money available for wages this season. Where is the extra money to come from?

Luton Town could play first Premier League games away

They co-exist obviously. You might argue that failing to develop the ground in the lower divisions is a form of cheating, leaving more money, unfairly, to spend on players.

Luton Town could play first Premier League games away

The precedent is promotion/election to the old 4th division was always based on grounds being suitable. You had to get the pitch sorted out first.

I've been saying for weeks (not because we lost) but I don't see how they can be promoted at all unless they ground share. Rules is rules...

    Transfer Rumour Panzo coming back?

Doyle is a potential England captain in the making I reckon, given time and the right environment.

How much do you expect us to spend?

Sure but if you're propping up those expensive, 3 year contracts on income from sales then it is unsustainable unless you can develop players and sell them on consistently. That is much harder to do with a small, undersized squad heavily reliant on loans.

How much do you expect us to spend?

Wages will be the limit. Spend big and those players will want high wages. I think the wage bill is likely to be similar to last season perhaps a little higher but we'll be paying Frasers' more for the ground too. If you start spending transfer income on the general budget then you have to keep...

I loved the Pony kits, home and away @lacesoutdom . The style doesn't work for today though, too baggy,

    Transfer Rumour Panzo coming back?

Going back to last summer and then the Sunderland game, Panz looked like a terrific move for us

Development Squad - Any breakthrough potential?

The exception doesn't disprove the rule though. We should keep an eye on this one

Development Squad - Any breakthrough potential?

Where is the space for them to develop going to come from? I think it's the PL driving this, in essence creating feeder clubs through the loan system at the expense of development. Many kids will end up missing out altogether where another year or two would have made all the difference. Perhaps...

Match Thread Confirmed Ins and Outs 2023/2024 Summer

Seeing Dublin at Wembley reminded me that losing him to Villa ultimately cost us a PL place, we have to remember that lesson with Vik. Our striker recruitment over the past few years has either been great of a flop with nothing much in between, we can't afford a failure this time around.

    2023-24 New Kit Thread

I reckon there must have been a problem with the purple kit, very strange otherwise. It was quite nice all in and an improvement on the pink/blue effort. Clearly we need brown!
