Why a new ground is the fair way forward

I think its best to leave this thread where it is. It's not going anywhere. Opinion is fact to some. The same people do not consider the opinion of others because it does not support their facts.

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

......... am i missing something here? That was not my point was it. I dont know the answer to that question, as I am not particularly bothered about other clubs finances. I will repeat my question for you. Can we honestly sit here and suggest that we would be a succesful club now if it wasnt...

    Ricoh Valuation.

That is a good starting point though isn't it? £17 mill for a similar sized stadium albeit less equiped. Anything less than that has to be branded ridiculous.

    Ricoh Valuation.

That is fair enough. I still seriously doubt CCC would be happy to do that though.

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

Of course it was. But we can't honestly sit here and suggest that we would be a succesful club now if it wasnt for the rent and access to F&B can we? I am all for saying that serious mistakes were made pre-sisu however let's not kid ourselves.

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

Its all well and good saying that, but have Coventry had a turnover which suggests that the only thing resulting in CCFC being "in the shit" is the rent and no access to F&B?

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

People seem to forget that the Ricoh is a high end championship/premiership quality stadium when they argue that "CCC bleeding us dry" and "the rent was too high"

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

There are a couple of fair solutions I think. 1. Purchase the Ricoh at market value 2. Build a new stadium in Coventry but play at the Ricoh whilst that happens Surely if SISU came out and said we want to buy PLOT X in Coventry to build the new stadium, however the council wont sell to us...

    Ricoh Valuation.

Not really sure if its worth talking about this. According to various sources (not going to start reeling them off) the £6.4 mill valuation was for ACL in a distressed situation. ML said that their valuation was closer to £3 mill or £4 mill (not sure if he was referring to ACL or Freehold, I am...

For all we know this is SISU saying to their lawyers "threaten to sue the guardian and anyone who has played a part in this" and the lawyers have taken it a bit too far! Who knows.

yes, so it does not use an if or will, it uses both. Which to me suggests a threat. Is a heads up with a bit of a scare tactic built in not a threat?
