The Ricoh Arena Rent Free for the year - Next Step?

Probably not. Possibly from Ann's view the meeting was to build a few bridges and get them back first. Joy obviously only wanted to talk ownership.

The Ricoh Arena Rent Free for the year - Next Step?

I have read on twitter and grendel has mentioned that it was because the match day costs were not included and they are too high (£320,000 was mentioned on twitter). However when you own the freehold to the stadium you are of course immune to match day costs, so I can see their point.:facepalm...

"Coventry City owners lead club to Northampton and towards the abyss"

But in all seriousness the 10 year thing is part of their rules, however they wouldnt reject a 5 year return to the ricoh, just as they didnt reject a 5 year relocation to Northampton.

I would also like to point out I am thrilled that Les Reid thinks that the JR decison was right and he believes the council should have to answer as to why they bailed ACL out. I am also thrilled that he has questioned how they are going to pay for this. Ironic.

The Ricoh Arena Rent Free for the year - Next Step?

Apparently it was rent free this year, then £100k for 2 years. Where is the issue? If a deal is thrashed out before the end of the season then its all good. If it goes on in to next season or a deal cant be done and they decide to build their own stadium then they are paying rent in Coventry...

"Coventry City owners lead club to Northampton and towards the abyss"

I must say the twitter row is very amusing! I also found it highly amusing how people have questioned the facts of a well respected national journalist, and would rather stick up for their bestest pal Les Reid. OH THE HILARITY!
