    Transfer targets

If we are looking abroad the Japanese/ Korean market looks to be a potentially good one. Caught a bit of the Brighton/ Arsenal game last week and Mitoma looked a hell of a player. I believe Celtic have successfully targetted signings from that part of the world too.

Just how much did our shocking start cost us this season

I tend to agree the the back 3 as of now are as strong a unit as we have had since the PL, and stronger than a fair few we had in the PL. McFadzean has been the crucial cog though in that. McNally and Doyle are great prospects, but are both better by playing alongside McFadzean. Hyam is and was...

Thread for those looking for final tickets

Don't give up. It looks like some tickets will make general sale tomorrow so hopefully you can still get them directly.

    Transfer targets

If we do get promoted Manning is the sort of player we should go for. Instead of current PL players I would rather we try to pick up the best from the Championship who are likely to have more hunger and upside about them in terms of sell on fees.

Best thing if we go up

Add in Cyrus Christie, Callum Wilson and Jordan Henderson too ;)

Lauti to Wembley and Cefovid Uganda

It will cost but see if he has access to applying for Super Priority visa. If there are any doubts over whether he will actually get issued a visa try to get an MP to support his application, stressing the charity work he does in Uganda etc.

    Wembley Access

Sorry about your dilemma Shmmeee. My son also has a problem in that he broke his ankle playing cricket last month and is on crutches. His walk to the ground is going to be a test, while his ticket at the moment is up in the Gods so am hoping they have a lift he can use to help.

    Penalty Takers

Everyone miss my post from yesterday showing that Maguire has a 100% penalty record (8 from 8)? In order of preference if on the pitch would be Godden, Maguire, Gyokeres, Walker, Eccles, Hamer, Sheaf, Kelly then its prayer time. Also Wilson has a lousy record at saving them. If it comes to pens...

Match Thread Middlesbrough vs Coventry City Play off Semi final 2nd leg Match Thread - Wednesday 17th May

Been whiling the time worrying about penalties so have been looking up some career record stats. Godden is our top man scoring 18 from 19 and also scoring for us in penalty shoot outs. Gyokeres has scored 6 from 9. Walker 8 from 11. Kelly 7 from 8 although has missed a shoot out penalty for us...

Match Thread Middlesbrough vs Coventry City Play off Semi final 2nd leg Match Thread - Wednesday 17th May

Presuming Eccles & Hamer are fit I would bring in Allen & Sheaf for Godden & Kelly, although it wouldn't be too surprising to see Eccles dropping out instead of Kelly. We have to change things a little and give Middlesbrough a different challenge than they have faced in the last 2 games. While...

North Stand availability at 1.30PM 11th May

I presumed it was connected to season ticket holders having 2 tickets, but then booking seats other than their own so as to be sat together, then leaving some kind of surplus come the end of the day, but then why would the spare tickets be in the North Stand? I guess it could also have been...

    TICKETS

Playing devils advocate, but couldn't a season ticket holder also act as a pseudo tout with their preferred access to extra tickets?

    How to set up?

There goalie reminds me of an up market Reice Charles-Cook, fancying himself as an outfield player and overdoing it at times. Am expecting our games with Boro to be close so could really do with our forwards being switched onto nick the ball off him for a soft goal.

Ben Wilson' race for the golden glove?!

Which goalkeeper had worse stats than Moore?

Kelly / Sheaf and Eccles / Allen

I have absolutely no idea about who he should go for in midfield. I'm guessing he'll start from an 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' standpoint and stick with the same starting XI. Nice to have options though.

Are you happy with the season

I would expect Southampton to be challenging for automatics. A lot of their younger players will be more comfortable at that level, while they can also call back Smallbone from Stoke who would probably walk into any other Championship side. The other teams you mention might take a while to get...

    Championship 22-23

Surely if 5 teams come in and all offer £17m why not reject them all? Common sense tells you at least one will want an edge over its competitors and offer a higher price. However, even if only one club comes in initially (which I think is unlikely) we should not accept the first offer that comes...

    IFollow question, Monday's game

If you are watching via i follow switch off any score alerts you might have set up as there is a time lag in the pictures, I would stay off the match thread on here too. Unless of course you like knowing in advance when a goal is about to be scored!
