They needed the cash flow to pay for Woolfenden. We've not seen the benefit of that yet but we certainly will at some point.

More of a concern is Eccles's fitness, he looked short of a yard last week to say the least. Presume we'll see Jamie at some point.

    EMC - The new Sheaf?

Yes, I know you were but it doesn't hold up. Fitness helps with injuries but it's fatigue that's often problematic. I'm not getting at you, I don't like labelling players as injury prone where it isn't due. Brian Robson for example was injury prone...

A point last week is only good if we follow it up today.

    EMC - The new Sheaf?

I've been looking into this argument that it's easier in the lower leagues. The numbers don't really support that, Last year suggests that the Championship is a little easier if anything. 32 appearances will almost get you into the top 200 in L1 and L2 (212 and 206 last year) compared with only...

    EMC - The new Sheaf?

Maybe but there's no sign of that so far. People need to understand averages and distributions! Not everyone will play every game and it's probably undesirable anyway.

    EMC - The new Sheaf?

    EMC just doesn't have a history of injuries. It's a non-starter, honestly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephron_Mason-Clark

    EMC - The new Sheaf?

32 games will have put you in the top 250 in the Championship last season for appearances so that's top 10 per side on average. It's a bit rich to be labelling anybody hitting those sorts of targets consistently as "injury prone" in my book...

    Lampard interview

Haji's a very intelligent player, you can see that on the pitch and how he adapts within a game. He won't need telling, let's hope his ankle holds out. He'll need some rest along the way and we need Simmo to be a genuine threat too.

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

Brad Collins was MotM yesterday too. I'm sure that we can all see that he's the best thing since sliced bread now. Don't know what we were all missing, actually!

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

I'm sure it isn't easy, especially when your confidence isn't there either.

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

He did stand up well for the one on one. Credit where it's due. He looked as surprised as anyone to get Motm today because Leicester did not manage to put him under any real pressure. He made his routine saves from the pretty tame shots from distance. It seems to me that he's a quiet lad and you...

Rushworth stood up well for the one on one. He'd have been criticised heavily had he let any of the others in but a good day at the office. Leicester didn't put him under pressure from the big, ugly bastards but let's hope he takes confidence in the clean sheet and moves on.

Yep we'd all have taken an away point gong into the game. They're disappointed!

Yeah, no doubt! He gave the red on JDS from the other end of the pitch. There's no way he saw it!

Big concern. He was completely off the pace that day.

Probably the steroids injections! Must have been Sillett back then, I think.
