We've been to Mexico several times staying at Excellence Playa Mujeres. It's a great hotel, but not cheap. Look it up on Trip Advisor to check it out. It's north of Cancun and certainly not a "partying" hotel. Next door is the Beloved, a very quiet and laid back place.
