    Woodlands

Iirc the Tesco deal didnt cover the entire cost of the Ricoh, it certainly contributed a big proportion of it though. I think the main issues around the Woodlands site would be the suitability of a large scale development and whether the roads could take the traffic.

    Luke Thomas

It might allow him to put crosses in more easily but i cant see that helping his finishing. We need him to be bad enough to convince Derby to let us have him before we then find a way to turn him into Arjen Robben.

    Luke Thomas

Really frustrating lack of assists and goals this season (although lots of misses come from situations he creates virtually by himself anyway), if he's at Derby next season I would think he'll mainly be on the bench/a squad player unless he shows some big improvement in pre-season. I'd...

    JCH

Definitely. Which tells quite a story!

I'd add Kwame Thomas to that list.

Nick Proshit, what a legend he was for us.

Barnsley away - let's be having you!

I won't be going to this one but I've got some very fond memories of 4-1 and 2-1 with Julian Gray scoring. Hopefully he can keep his run going.

    Stadium Location Options-Letter to CovCC

That's so 2000, retractable pitches are where it's at these days. You could roll it out of the stadium to reveal a huge picture of Oggy's beaming smile.

    Stadium Location Options-Letter to CovCC

    Don't forget the retractable pitch.

    Stadium Location Options-Letter to CovCC

We had a system like that where I used to work; it was so time consuming we ended up with a code for filling out the weekly time sheets.

    Crowd on Saturday

I really should pay more attention when they put the attendances up.

    Crowd on Saturday

I reckon we'll get about 11,000. If we are still in the hunt with about 2 home games left then I think attendances will increase a bit more (probably 13,000ish)

The link there states that the £20m deal includes a 250 year lease....I'm now confused! I think I probably need to do some background reading again.

    Trust Statement

Thanks, I think the fact that it wasn't handled that way in the initial deal has helped make it look suspicious when it probably didn't need to be.

Something I don't fully understand (not a comment on your previous explanations!) is that the stadium was sold at a value and with a lease of 50 years (or whatever was left of 50 years was it?). Not too long after that sale the lease was extended massively, which then enabled Wasps to add value...

I don't doubt that Wasps have got the Ricoh at a good rate, I just don't see that convincing the Council to help SISU (and by extension CCFC) out to any great extent.

    Trust Statement

It was built by the time they got here yes but they didn't set out with the express intent of getting somebody else to finance a stadium for them. Obviously I could be wrong about SISU too but I don't trust them to be genuine in their dealings and I doubt any of the other parties do either.
  18. Razzle Dazzle Dean Gordon

    Trust Statement

Sorry what I meant by 'somebody else paying for it' was that SISU would want the reward without taking the risk. This is probably a bit flippant of me but they've consistently tried to get things on the cheap and it seems to have cost them. I also don't know the Ricoh would fail without CCFC, it...

    Trust Statement

I suppose my point/fear is that just because it's none of CCFC's concern doesn't mean that it will attract the Council's support because they will be looking at the interests of the City as a whole (which wouldn't be served by a failed Ricoh, brought on by CCFC moving away). Hopefully i'm wrong...
