    Tommy atkins,torch etc..

Then, why did they start to invest when they came in.? Because they are also investors who try and turn ailing businesses round. Then, when they saw that it wasn't going to be that easy they have dismantled the club. It would have been more admirable (AND fiscally MORE sensible) if they had...

Ah that old cock and bull. Getting relegated and losing significant chunks of revenue streams while fixed overheads like rent remain static. This only means less and less money in an ever decreasing spiral. TA, your grasp on fiscal reality is childish.

    Tommy atkins,torch etc..

I am not saying he was ideal, far from it. All I am saying is that he was more pragmatic and knew that A club has to "invest to accumulate". When Sisu and he parted company things really began to unravel.

I think we are skirting over the issue of Sisu (hedge fund) or, as it was initially, Sisu (hedge fund) with Ranson ( bloke who knew footy and interface with fans). The reality of Sisu, their incompetence , lack of sensible strategy, etc. only really became apparent once RR had gone.

    Richard Keys tweet....!

Yes, we should be grateful for the bit of publicity that he generates as long as he isn't jeapordising anything. And that's the problem: We simply do not know. Sisu are not doing anything! Sisu are not saying anything.! Just spin. They are a toxic, vile bunch and a blight on the city...

    Protest at Southampton

The "Sisu out" protest was derailed by in fighting and the perception that it "wasn't helping the lads". It has needed a higher media profile.......and direct action is one way. However, the media do not like controversy per se. Noticed on the football league show they merely gloss over the...

why are people angry now all of a sudden?

It HAS to be about leadership. From the top down - ALL joined up thinking and actions from the Chairman (do we even have one?) to the tea lady. Jimmy Hill had Robbins, and he was just as important if not more so to the club's revival in the 60's. This relationship is crucial if we are to...

    A one man stand

Events have backed us into a corner. The owners have treated the fans like mugs. Enough is enough.

why are people angry now all of a sudden?

Part of the problem has been the ill founded perception that to protest would "harm the boys" "deflect from the effort by the kids" "be a distraction". Maybe those that didn't might reflect that fans do do their bit in defining the sort of club we get. Today I saw a club with no passion, guts...

    Club Statement

Urge fans to not renew season tickets until someone does something which earns trust and respect. Sisu have zero credibility and that spin confirms it.

    On BBC website

The club is toxic at the moment. I reckon if the old boys who paraded the FA cup with Sillett at HT had taken the field we would have stood more of a chance today. We have had the heart ripped out of this club by a succession of poisonous bastids in the boardroom and the current crop are, if...

CT Thorn We've got to sort it out , big changes are needed

A recent analogy might be recent disclosures about British servicemen dying because of lack of basic equipment. Now then was this the responsibility of the M o D or the Captain of his brigade who had to back his men and wage a war whilst carrying out orders, keep discipline, show leadership...

CT Thorn We've got to sort it out , big changes are needed

We do not know what assurances AT was given when he took the job. If he's been shafted by the hedge fund boyos then this wouldn't be the first time that the integrity of a novice manager has been compromised by a deviant Board. I think that it has been noticeable amongst the "union" of football...
