I had the same with tv only goal i saw was the penalty so there’s not a lot I can say. Why Sakamoto didn’t come on is anot hey mystery his close control could have attracted fouls, and with Antony Taylor in the middle who knows what we might have got.

Can’t understand why Sakamoto, MvE & Binks didn’t play can only assume perhaps MvE & Binks are carrying knocks as for Saka a mystery. Robins has to decide his best eleven and stick with it.

We look so dis-jointed and our lack of pace another worry. Lucky not to be down to ten men too. We have pace and quality on the bench need to change things for the second half.

It’s certainly a different team to what I expected, it’s a case of sit back try and enjoy and chew the fat over it at 5 O’Clock.

    Kasey Palmer

Palmer has become a bit of an enigma, theres a class act there but it appears nowhere near regular enough. He could be the spark that ignites us or the opposite. Like some not sure of his best position number 10 behind the strikers perhaps a forward four of Wright/Sims, COH, Saka and Palmer is...

    U21's.Cov v Fleetwood.

In fairness to Stretton nearly 19 as you say makes him 18, he spent most of last season with his leg in a brace so for him there’s a bit of catching up to do.

The failure rate is about the 99% you quoted and from that 1% who become scholars I’d guess 90% don’t get pro contracts. It’s a brutal business but in fairness most the time those selecting get it right and those who do get pro-contracts it’s a tough ask to make the big time.

I looked at that squad that played yesterday and most are 17 or younger

    Ronnie Rees RIP

Jimmy Hill had bits of luck in his managerial spell here, Ronnie Rees was his biggest. He’d famously bought his brand new forward line thanks to £30,000 gift chairman Derek Robins gave him, four were big successes but one left winger Bobby Laverick was rubbish and Hill put 18 year old youth...

Bet they don’t whip their tops off when they score a late winner.

Our defence isn’t 100% yet still not sure what our best one is. Don’t know if he was carrying an injury or not but I was surprised Binks was on the bench thought he’d been our best defender the last few games.

I was there for that, thought it was Bolton though. It was on match of the day. Just watched it, shows what a great player Rees was.

They don’t sign pro-forms until they are 18.

You don’t know what you are on about, what pro club are going to take on 17/18 year olds. U/18s & U21s are development squads different names nowadays used to be called apprentices, A-team and reserves.
